Feds On Hunt For Man Who Attacked Trump Official Alina Habba’s Office With A Bat

Feds are searching for a man who allegedly attacked U.S. Attorney Alina Habba’s New Jersey office with a baseball bat, Attorney General Pam Bondi announced Thursday.

Bondi said the suspect showed up at Habba’s building around 5 p.m. on Wednesday, attempted to confront her, then proceeded to the seventh floor where he damaged property before fleeing. Habba, formerly a spokesperson and personal attorney for President Donald Trump, now serves as the U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey and is one of the most visible figures inside the Department of Justice.

A source close to Habba told The Daily Wire the attacker entered the building carrying a bat before moving directly to her office level. Bondi confirmed Habba was unharmed.

“Thankfully, Alina is ok,” Bondi said. “Any violence or threats of violence against any federal officer will not be tolerated. Period. We will find this person, and the individual will be brought to justice.”

Bondi said the incident is part of a growing trend of threats and violence targeting federal officials and conservative figures.

“Our federal prosecutors, agents, and law?enforcement partners put their lives on the line every day,” she said. “This Department will use every legal tool available to ensure their safety and hold violent offenders fully accountable.”

Habba responded publicly on Thursday, posting on X: “I will not be intimidated by radical lunatics for doing my job.”

The attack comes amid an escalation of violence directed at conservatives and members of President Donald Trump’s administration. In September, Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk was assassinated by a left?wing extremist during a campus event in Utah. Over the past two years, Senator Eric Schmitt has highlighted a surge in politically motivated attacks nationwide, including arsons, bombings, ambushes, riots, and assassinations.

“These are determined militant extremists who wield violence for political ends,” Schmitt warned in a recent hearing. “None of this is random. It is organized, coordinated political terror.”
