On a similar note, he reminded that Ireland, too, understands the elements key to peace, pointing to the Good Friday Agreement as a shining example and source of global inspiration.
Recollecting the lessons from the Good Friday Agreement, Walsh noted it demonstrates that reconciliation is attainable, chasms can be bridged, and peace can be sustained when dialogue is chosen over violence.
For the upcoming months, Walsh shared, he intends to explore Ireland, embracing the country’s rich heritage and vibrant culture.
Adverting to economic matters, he expressed that the US-EU Trade Agreement brings ‘certainty and stability’. Notably, it paves the way for growth, creating a fertile ground for jobs in both the US and Ireland.
