Algerian Limousine Driver Accused of Five Incidents of Sexual Violence in Chicago
On April 4, a man identified as Chakib Mansour Khodja was apprehended in Chicago for alleged involvement in five incidences of sexual violence that happened between 2022 and 2025. The Chicago Police Department (CPD) reported that this 36-year-old Algerian limousine driver was indicted on 18 counts related to these devestating events.
Khodja is looking at a series of charges that include three instances of aggravated criminal sexual attack with a weapon and two counts of aggravated criminal sexual mistreatment, also involving a weapon. Additionally, the charges listed two occurrences of aggravated criminal sexual assault causing bodily harm and two counts of aggravated abduction whilst armed.
Other charges read out against Khodja are aggravated criminal sexual mistreatment resulting in physical injuries, unlawful imprisonment, attempted home invasion involving a dangerous weapon, aggravated kidnapping, and an attempted aggravated assault through strangulation. He also faces an accusation of a failed abduction and a failed home invasion that led to injuries. Furthermore, Khodja was charged with two instances of misdemeanor public indecency.
The CPD apprehended Khodja at the Chicago O’Hare International Airport as he was making his way back from a sojourn in Algeria. The process leading to his capture was fraught with relentless detective work that spanned over three years.

A 2022 case associated with Khodja involved an unfamiliar area of the city. The victim was kidnapped by two men who subsequently drove her to this location where Khodja is alleged to have assaulted her.
In the same year, Khodja was implicated in an attempted kidnapping and sexual assault. He supposedly used a drawstring bag in an attempt to obstruct the victim’s vision during the assault. Despite the circumstances, the victim managed to resist him.
The CPD confirmed that DNA evidence collected during the investigations connected Khodja to four of these abhorrent incidents. The careful collation of this compelling DNA evidence formed an integral part of the case against him.
