Nelly, who recently celebrated the arrival of a new baby with singer Ashanti, called out those who lack consideration for the black community, comparing his contributions with Snoop Dogg. He penned, ‘Me and Snoop have extensively contributed to our community over the past two decades and beyond, unlike some who are mere trash-talkers with no stats backing their claims. Our endeavors range from providing employment opportunities to black families to supporting black children through our nonprofits.’
Highlighting their contributions, he added, ‘We’ve been helping young black boys in LA’s ‘gang central’ with junior football programs, benefiting many who’ve made it to the NFL. We’re sending kids to HBCU on scholarships.’ He finished his defense by emphasizing that they are ‘Black Men’, married to beautiful black women and raising black children, thereby reiterating his commitment to the black community.
Nelly’s rhetoric has left fans in a state of confusion, bombarding him with questions regarding his stance against Kamala Harris. However, he stood his ground, asserting that as long as he’s content and loved, he pays no heed to detractors.
