Aronofsky’s ‘Caught Stealing’ Premieres with Star-Studded Elegance
The cast of the fresh Darren Aronofsky film, ‘Caught Stealing’ marked their presence at the grand premiere in New York City on Tuesday evening. Their ensemble included both custom-made outfits and elegant pieces from revered designer labels including Saint Laurent. Zoë Kravitz, collaborating once again with Saint Laurent, stood out in a bespoke attire, while ‘Elvis’ Oscar-nominated artist, Austin Butler, sprinkled a bit of 90s grunge charm on the red carpet through his distinctive Givenchy outfit.
Zoë Kravitz, praised for her sartorial choices, was seen in a charming coordinated set manufactured by the prestigious French label, Saint Laurent. The two-piece outfit consisted of a black cropped, long-sleeved blouse that flaunted a daringly deep neckline, paired with a black v-waisted skirt gracefully sweeping the floor.
The look was further enhanced with a sparkling 14-carat cushion-cut diamond ring from British designer Jessica McCormack, subtly worn on her right thumb. Kravitz’s hairstylist enhanced her natural beauty by parting her loose curls on the side, and a makeup of soft liner for her eyes and a mellow nude shade for her lips effectively completed the look.
On the other hand, the Oscar laureate for ‘If Beale Street Could Talk’, Regina King, chose a dress designed by Daniel Roseberry for Schiaparelli. She was adorned in an exquisite garment named the Draped Dove, which beautifully incorporated a rich peacock blue velvet material, giving the dress an air of sophistication.
The Draped Dove was characterized by a sleeveless structure with meticulously crafted gold dove figures at the neckline, doubling as a halter neck design. King perfectly complemented her outfit by accentuating her attire with the same metallic gold colour accessories. Her selection included a delicate bracelet, complementing earrings, and a sophisticated ring.
Deriving stylistic cues from the movie’s 90s backdrop, Austin Butler elegantly flaunted his wardrobe for the evening. His selection was a total leather outfit courtesy of Givenchy, adding a hint of nostalgia reminiscent of the era of the 90s.
The ensemble comprised a sleek black leather blazer jacket impeccably matched with equally stylish tapered trousers. The actor further underpinned the motif by completing the look with a pair of polished black, patent leather shoes.
The musician and artist, Bad Bunny, took the red carpet by storm with a unique choice from Saint Laurent’s Spring 2025 collection. His outfit deviated from tradition by featuring a suited combo in serene shades of white and cream.
Adding more dimensions to his outfit, Bad Bunny wore a vest over a long-sleeved, collared shirt. His choice of a matching tie added an element of surprise as it was only visible on the top half. The look was polished off with a striking pair of burgundy loafers for a pop of color.
‘Caught Stealing’ is at its core an intriguing narrative revolving around a washed-up baseball player. The character Hank Thompson, brought to life by Butler, unwittingly becomes an integral part of New York City’s dangerous criminal sphere, set amidst the tumultuous 1990s landscape.
The film promises a journey through time, painting vivid imagery of New York City’s notorious criminal underbelly during the 90s. It promises suspense, drama, and a layered character exploration which is anticipated to captivate the audience. A spectacle for cinema lovers, ‘Caught Stealing’ is set to release this Friday.
