Biden and Harris: Architects of an Embarrassing Foreign Policy Fiasco

In retrospect, Trump’s predictions seem to have been overly dramatized attempts to gain leverage in the electoral race. His knack to paint doomsday scenarios, as a means of political strategy, is rarely effective and often stirs unnecessary panic. Notably, during the 2020 presidential campaign, Trump had made extravagant forecasts if Joe Biden were to be elected. “When Biden takes over, Wall Street will collapse, leading to an unprecedented depression.” “Biden plans to release 400,000 criminals to roam your streets and infiltrate your neighborhoods.” ~ Trump had claimed.

“China will lay claim to the United States if Trump loses this election.” “Biden’s presidency would mark the downfall of our nation.” ~ Trump prognosticated. Frankly, none of these catastrophes seem to have materialized.

Kamala Harris’ failed four-year tenure rings louder than any of her hollow promises. She’s been keen to express her capacity to rejuvenate the economy, suture the border crisis, and heal the myriad of American stumbles, yet evidence of improvement remains invisible to the naked eye. Regardless of her rhetoric, she hasn’t ameliorated any of the complexities that plague our nation under Biden’s leadership.

The foreign policy fiasco that has unfolded under the Biden-Harris leadership is the epitome of inefficacy. Be it the disastrous Afghanistan pullout, the escalating conflicts in Ukraine and Israel, or the rising tensions with global superpowers such as China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea, the era of Biden-Harris paints an image of a weakened America.

The foibles of our foreign policy showcase an America that is soft under Biden and Harris, which could potentially initiate the drums of the Third World War.

In a recent letter, a writer opined, ‘Abortion access should take a backseat to more pressing issues.’ He also queried why liberals have placed such a high priority on this topic. Reflecting on his argument, the focus on abortion is not solely a ‘left issue,’ but rather about guaranteeing that those requiring medical aid are able to access it freely.

Vital concerns such as inflation, controversies surrounding the border, and international affairs may be on the platter, but they lose their significance if individuals are denied crucial healthcare services. Any hindrance that obstructs citizens from availing healthcare in the ‘land of the free’ is a travesty that should shock every American, be they conservative or liberal.

Discussions on reproductive rights often lead us to question the limits of individual freedom. It’s essential to remember that none of our fundamental rights are unlimited. Free press doesn’t entail the right to spread slander, just as religious freedom doesn’t permit adherents to impose their symbols on traffic signs.

The proverbial saying goes, ‘Your liberty to swing your fist ends just where my nose begins.’ Rights are all about maintaining balance. Indeed, women have rights over their own bodies and health. However, the unborn are distinct entities, sheltered within but not intrinsically part of the mother’s bodily territory.

Stories are emerging, increasingly pointing to a heightening sense of insecurity and concern in regions impacted by recent hurricanes. This situation is being exacerbated by the circulation of false information targeting several federal agencies, thereby hindering the recovery efforts both in terms of speed and efficiency.

The shocking events of January 6, 2021, continue to hang like an ominous cloud on our collective consciousness. The question we must ask ourselves now is: can we entrust our nation and its core principles to his leadership once more?

We stand at a juncture where we must seriously consider if we can afford a relapse into power of such blatant disregard and betrayal of the fundamental duties to our Constitution and national governance. A perilous course we can ill afford to take.

The ongoing deliberate divisiveness that undermines our collective discourse and sacrifices the overall wellbeing and civility of our citizens is a price too high. It’s a cost we, as a nation, must carefully evaluate before we determine our political path.

In addition, the danger brought on by his series of untruths is an unsettling thought. These flagrant falsehoods not only compromise our national security but also pose a direct challenge to our civil society.
