Cody Garbrandt’s Custom Indian Motorcycle Manifests in ‘Forged’ Series
Indian Motorcycle’s ongoing ‘Forged’ series has made waves once again with its latest creation, attributed to the renowned UFC fighter Cody Garbrandt. This release showcases the versatility and creativity inherent in the 2025 series. The model in question is a modified Indian Chieftain, taking inspirations from the unique designs of Kraus Motor Co.
Having successfully conceptualised and brought to life three varying designs for this ‘Forged’ series, the Indian Motorcycle company built each one on the backbone of their powerful Chieftain PowerPlus model. Differentiating each of these released versions is the collaboration with various brands known for their motorcycle customisations.
In this instance, the partnership was with Kraus Motor Co., a prestigious name in the U.S. for custom motorcycle parts and accessories. With a particular focus on Harley-Davidson and Indian Motorcycles, Kraus has been at the forefront of refining and customizing several motorcycles with their tailor-made parts.
Underpinning the new and customized Chieftain PowerPlus model is an impressive 1834cc V-twin engine. This powerful heart of the beast churns out a remarkable 126bhp and a torque figure of 133.8Ib ft. With such performance figures, this motorcycle promises to deliver an adrenaline-filled ride for its user.
As part of their involvement in this endeavour, Kraus Motor brought a plethora of their proprietary components to put together this unique Chieftain. Designed specifically for UFC fighter Cody Garbrandt, the superbike received numerous upgrades to elevate its performance and visual aesthetic.
Some key additions to this custom build include the Kraus RT Performance Brake Pads and a Kraus ARP caliper kit, supplemented by Spiegler brake lines. This level of bespoke attention to detail ensures that Cody Garbrandt’s motorcycle will provide exceptional performance, in sync with his own athletic prowess.
Further augmenting the performance, the motorcycle sports a Kraus Ohlins Inverted Front End, mated with a DTF Carbon Front Fender. The coupling of these high-end parts attests to the uncompromising focus on superior design and functionality that has been the hallmark of all the installations of the ‘Forged’ series.
This unique build has been conceived with a singular vision, as stated by Kraus Motor Co. founder, Satya Kraus. According to him, the intention behind this cutting-edge motorcycle was twofold. Firstly, it was about demonstrating the realm of possibilities when it comes to the customization of motorcycles. Secondly, it was to set future benchmarks of design and performance.
Satya Kraus also highlighted the advantages of their partnership with both Cody Garbrandt and Indian Motorcycle. This association offered an excellent platform to design, test and apply new parts, thus reimagining the very limits of what a Chieftain might be capable of. In his words, this bikerafted masterpiece is a representation of hardcore, raw power, enhanced by its straightforward minimalistic design.
Driven by functionality and performance, the makeup of this motorcycle dismisses any unnecessary embellishments. It does not rely on glossy paint jobs or other typical aesthetic appeals. Instead, it sends out a potent message: its classiness lies in ruggedness, and its robustness defines its purpose.
Reflecting on the previous iterations of the Indian ‘Forged’ 2025 series, the first Chieftain model was crafted for professional skateboarder, Ryan Sheckler. This design philosophy of this variant was steeped in darkness, with a thoroughly blacked-out finish to make a powerful statement of its own.
After this, the series progressed with the creation of a unique model designed for Tyler Hubbard, the former lead singer of Florida Georgia Line. Unlike its predecessor, this model exhibited a symphony of colors, displaying a completely different, vibrant side of the Chieftain’s multifaceted personality.
The experts at Forever Rad, known for their custom motorcycle modifications, played a key role in the creation of Tyler Hubbard’s Chieftain. This collaboration resulted in a model that harmoniously combined the Chieftain’s performance capabilities with the colorful vibrancy specific to the singer’s character.
In the grand scheme of the ‘Forged’ series, these variations highlight Indian Motorcycle’s commitment to generating unique designs based on the same model while targeting diverse demographics. From professional athletes to musicians, the 2025 series showcases a universal appeal that goes beyond the realms of typical motorcycle enthusiasts.
The ‘Forged’ series presents an appealing narrative, showing that with the right collaboration and creative vision, a single model can take on various identities. Each motorbike in this series is designed to represent its owner’s unique persona, while explicating the Indian Chieftain’s versatile potential.
In conclusion, Indian Motorcycle’s successful collaboration with Kraus Motor Co. and various other brands for its ‘Forged’ series exemplifies the power of innovative motorcycle design. Marrying performance with customized elements, the series seamlessly stitches together the narratives of its owners and the Chieftain’s robust characteristics.
