Former Democrat Senator Attacked/Robbed in her Own State!

Barbara Boxer, a Democrat from California, was attacked and robbed Monday in Oakland.

Boxer was in Jack London Square neighborhood when she was pushed by someone who stole her phone.

According to the Oakland Police Department, the robbery took place at 1:15pm and they declined to say whether the former senator was the victim.

After grabbing Boxer’s phone, the suspect climbed into a vehicle waiting nearby.

 I was hit from behind very hard. I was target, walking alone on the phone, distracted on the phone. As he was running away I said… how could you do this to a grandmother?

A $2,000 reward is being offered to anyone with information that may lead to an arrest.

Last month, the Oakland City Council decided to cut almost $20 million from its police force. Many became concerned with the timing of this defunding due to an increased crime rate in the area.
