Hit-and-Run Victim’s Family Pleads for Public Assistance in North Miami

The local law enforcement agency has made public a surveillance video that archives the fatal hit-and-run event in North Miami. The affected family is pleading for assistance from the masses to aid in the search for the heartless motorist involved. The accident transpired at the confluence of Northwest 131st Street and Seventh Avenue in North Miami, late in the night on Saturday, about 11:15 pm.

In the surveillance footage, Enrique De Moya, aged 69, can be seen trying to cross the road when a truck brutally smashes into him without stopping. Tragically, Enrique did not survive this callous hit-and-run incident. The investigative team is relying on insights derived from the CCTV footage to trace the motorist of the truck.

Presently, the investigators have narrowed down their search and are on the lookout for a gray colored Toyota Tundra. Based on their findings, they surmise that the truck could have been manufactured anywhere between 2014 and 2020.

The grief-stricken son of the deceased, Steven De Moya, described the individual behind the wheel during his father’s fatal accident as ‘unfeeling’. A distraught Steven recounted how his father was adored by all who were acquainted with him.

Steven painted a vibrant picture of his father, recalling him as ‘the life of the party’. He remembered Enrique’s passion for music and his innate ability to spread an aura of happiness everywhere he was. Enrique’s vivacious personality and overall positivity were indeed infectious.

Enrique’s family is living in the hope that those with any leads about the truck or the driver would come forth to aid them. They desire to find closure, and to see justice served for Enrique, thus turning their hope into a fervent appeal to the public.

The family wishes to underscore the fact that any piece of information, regardless of its perceived insignificance, could be pivotal in tracing the driver. They firmly believe that every little detail could be a lead guiding them towards justice for Enrique.

Authorities also add that there’s a high likelihood of the truck bearing some damage at the front end due to the accident. They believe that this specific detail might help identify the vehicle, and are urging people who notice such damage on a similar truck to come forward with the information.
