Jonathan Majors Returns To The Screen In Daily Wire Action Movie
Actor Jonathan Majors is set to make his return to the screen for the first time in four years, starring in a new Daily Wire action film currently in production.
The 36-year-old actor, known for his performances in the Creed III and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, will begin filming this week in South Carolina, according to industry reports. The project’s title has not yet been announced, but it is described as an action film in the spirit of 1980s and 1990s classics like Red Dawn and Toy Soldiers.
The screenplay was written by Kyle Rankin, who will also direct. Rankin previously helmed Run Hide Fight, one of the first feature films released by The Daily Wire as it expanded into entertainment production. The new film will be produced by Daily Wire Editor Emeritus Ben Shapiro and Dallas Sonnier of Bonfire Legend, along with Travis Mills, Lillian Campbell, and Sydney Aucreman.
The Daily Wire has steadily built out its entertainment division through its streaming platform DailyWire+, producing a slate of films across multiple genres. In addition to Run Hide Fight, the company released Shut In, a survival thriller, and Terror on the Prairie, a Western starring Gina Carano. The sports comedy Lady Ballers followed in 2023.
The outlet has also seen success with documentary projects, including What Is a Woman?, hosted by Matt Walsh, and Am I Racist?. In 2026, the company released The Pendragon Cycle, an adaptation of Stephen R. Lawhead’s fantasy novel series, which drew attention for its scale and production value.
Majors’ casting marks a significant moment both for the actor and for The Daily Wire’s continued push into big-budget action storytelling. More details about the film’s plot and release date are expected in the coming months.
