Larsa Pippen Discusses Relationship with Kardashians on The Jason Lee Show
Larsa Pippen shares a history with Kim Kardashian that spans many years. She no longer holds the same level of closeness to the Kardashians as she did in the past, yet she’s willing to share her present relationship status with them. Larsa recently appeared on The Jason Lee Show, where she opened up about her daughter Sophia Pippen’s ongoing relationship with the Kardashian family. Sophia, 16 years of age, whom Larsa shares with her former husband, Scottie Pippen, is particularly close with the Kardashians, given that Kim is her godmother.
‘Sophia and Kim maintain a healthy relationship,’ Larsa shared, adding that Sophia frequently finds herself in the company of the Kardashian clan. ‘They show her a lot of love and affection, something I don’t want to negatively impact. And that’s alright.’ Larsa acknowledges and accepts her current standing with Kim. ‘I am not the same individual I was a day ago,’ she stated. ‘And I believe it’s all good right now.’
What led Larsa Pippen and Kim Kardashian’s relationship to evaporate in the first place? Larsa disclosed that their friendship began to dissolve during the period of Kim’s separation from Kanye West, her now-former husband. ‘Kim was my best friend and I still hold deep affection for her and Kanye. Yet, I found myself caught in the crossfire,’ she confessed. ‘I was the friend who witnessed it all. And that, in essence, put an end to our friendship.’
In the final month of 2022, Larsa verified that she was still on good terms with Kim. ‘There’s no animosity. There’s no unfortunate situation,’ she clarified. During a season of The Real Housewives of Miami, Larsa faced accusations of trying to ingratiate herself with the Kardashians by fellow cast member Adriana de Moura. ‘You spent a decade in LA, trying hard to please the Kardashians! So enough!’ was Adriana’s claim.
Larsa, in her defence, denied these allegations. ‘Anyone who really knows me, knows that I’ve dedicated the last decade to building my own brand and nurturing the talents of my superstar children.’ She stressed, ‘That’s been my focus. I haven’t been anywhere else, nor trying to win over anyone. I’ve always lived a varied life in different states. I’ve always been friends with many high-profile people.’
Of late, Larsa has also opened up about her experience of co-parenting her four ‘rising stars’ of children alongside Scottie. ‘I’m glad I chose a good man to father my children, because we have a unified approach to raising our kids,’ she professed. ‘Our aspirations for our children are aligned,’ she further added. ‘We both hope for them to succeed, to find happiness, which is evident in how we raise them.’
