Authorities are searching for an unidentified man who was last seen dressed in a black ski mask, complemented with a black sweatshirt, white gloves, gray sweatpants, and matching gray athletic shoes, according to a spokesperson from the New York City Police Department.
In Staten Island, New York, a call for public support has been issued by the local law enforcement, who are keen on identifying an individual believed to be connected to a recent case of home burglary on Todt Hill.
Police records indicate that the incident transpired on Sunday, July 6, in the wee hours at around 4:45 in the morning. During this time, a currently unknown individual reportedly broke into a house through its side entrance located near Wooddale and Elmhurst avenues.
The intruder’s entry point into the residential property remained undiscovered until the consequences of his actions were unveiled. Upon forced entry, the person in question allegedly nabbed a safe from within the house.
This safe was not ordinary; detailed reports from the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information shed light on its contents which were of high monetary value. The safe carried belongings estimated to be worth around $30,000, which consisted primarily of valuable pieces of jewelry.
Apart from these high-value trinkets, the safe also held a significant amount of cash. It was revealed that this amounted to approximately $30,100, making the total worth of the stolen items amount to more than $60,000.
Following the theft, the suspect did not hang around for long. With the sizable loot in tow, the unidentified individual is said to have made a hurried exit from the crime scene.
The stolen goods were reportedly transported by the thieving individual in a silver Lexus sedan car. This vehicle was seen racing away, heading north on Todt Hill Road, police detailed.
Fortunately, despite the magnitude of the break-in and theft, authorities confirmed that no one was harmed during the incident. The official statement from the police noted that no injuries were recorded as a result of this illicit intrusion.

The escape was carried out in a silver-colored Lexus sedan car which he drove northwards along Todt Hill Road, the police confirmed.
