President Trump Sets Departure for G7 Amid Tensions at Home and Abroad
The American President, Donald Trump, halted to address the media prior to boarding Marine One stationed on The White House’s South Lawn on the 15th of June, 2025, in the nation’s capital, Washington, DC. Trump is set to participate in the yearly summit of the influential Group of 7 (G7) nations that include Britain, France, Canada, Germany, Italy, United States, and Japan.
The momentous meeting is scheduled to take place in the serene landscape of the Canadian Rocky Mountains in Alberta. The important discussions amongst the world leaders there will continue until Tuesday evening.
Meanwhile, in the light of ongoing protests in major cities like Los Angeles related to his administration’s immigration stance, President Trump has voiced his intent for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to concentrate efforts on removals in areas governed by Democrats.
Expressing his directive in a public post on Truth Social Sunday, the President stated, “The responsibility now lies on the ICE officials, by virtue of this communication, to exert maximum efforts towards executing the most extensive Deportation Program ever witnessed in history.”
Emphasizing his intentions further, President Trump declared, “In order to materialize this mission, it is crucial to amplify efforts to retain and expel Unregistered Foreign Nationals residing in our major cities like Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago, where the numbers are staggering into millions.”
The President opined that these cities with significant immigrant populations essentially constitute the Democratic stronghold. According to him, they exploit this immigrant population to inflate their voter strength, manipulate elections, and feed their welfare state.
In a scathing critique of Democratic leaders, Trump remarked, “In addition to usurping employment and benefits that ought to be secured by hard-working American citizens, these radical left Democrats seem indifferent to the welfare of our country and appear to be hell-bent on dismantling our cities. Their actions yield alarming results! There appears to be an inherent flaw in their thinking.”
Concluding his address to ICE officers, he said, “I wish to reassure our courageous ICE officers that the authentic American citizenry applauds your bravery every day. The population yearns for our cities, educational institutions, and communities to be secure and devoid of any crimes, confrontations, or upheaval caused by unlawful immigrants.”
To underline his administration’s commitment, Trump announced, “That is the reason I have instructed my administration to optimize the utilization of all available means in support of this endeavor. The aim is to alleviate the destructive migration influx that has transformed quaint towns into visions of dystopian third-world cities.”
Legal battles ensued when, on a recent Thursday, a federal judge attempted to hand over control of the National Guard back to Newsom, subsequently blocking Trump’s deployment. However, the reign was short-lived as an appellate court promptly overturned the order, endorsing the federal military deployment to persist as the case navigates through the judicial system.
In the concluding part of the week, Trump revealed his intent to implement changes in the immigration enforcement for laborers employed in farms, eateries, and hospitality establishments.
Meanwhile, President Trump parted from the White House on Sunday evening for his journey to Canada to attend the G7 Summit. All the while, the Middle East tension escalates as Israel and Iran exchanged military offensives.
