Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2 Are Now Available on Nintendo Switch
Nintendo fans can finally take their adventures into orbit once again. Both Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2 have officially landed on the Nintendo Switch, giving a new generation the chance to experience two of the most beloved 3D platformers ever made.
The Legacy of the Galaxy Series
Originally released on the Wii in 2007 and 2010, the Galaxy titles broke new ground with their gravity-bending mechanics, spherical worlds, and inventive level design. Players followed Mario as he launched between planets, navigated orbiting stages, and teamed up with the Luma stars under the guidance of Princess Rosalina.
The series quickly became a fan favorite, praised for its creativity, soundtrack, and charm. Together, the two games earned critical acclaim and are often cited among the best Mario titles ever developed.
A Modern Upgrade for Switch Players
On the Switch, both games come with upgraded visuals and smoother performance, making them look sharper on modern TVs while still preserving the bright, colorful art style that defined the originals. Controls have also been updated for Joy-Cons and handheld mode, ensuring players can enjoy the cosmic adventure whether docked at home or on the go.
A Big Win for Mario Fans
This release expands Nintendo’s growing library of classic titles brought to the Switch. For longtime fans, it’s a nostalgic trip back to the golden age of the Wii. For newcomers, it’s the first chance to explore the sprawling galaxies that set a new standard for 3D platforming.
With both Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2 available now, Switch owners can gear up for hundreds of stars to collect, dozens of imaginative worlds to explore, and countless hours of gravity-defying fun.
