On an emergency basis, the Supreme Court has arranged to inspect petitions that dispute the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Bihar, set to occur on Thursday, July 10, 2025. The SIR pertains to approximately 2.93 crore voters in Bihar who now face the task of supplying documentation validating their personal birth particulars, as well as those of their progenitors for those born post-1987. This extensive process commenced on June 28, 2025.

Scheduled for 2027, the Census procedure will undergo two distinct phases.
