‘Talamasca: The Secret Order’ Unveils Supernatural Mysteries on AMC Networks

AMC Networks is set to introduce ‘Talamasca: The Secret Order’, the latest series from Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe. The official trailer has been launched, with the series starting on Sunday, Oct. 26, both on traditional cable and AMC+. The inaugural season will include six episodes, to be launched weekly each Sunday. ‘Talamasca: The Secret Order’ will unravel the mysteries of a clandestine society known as Talamasca, who have the responsibility of monitoring and managing the world’s supernatural entities such as witches and vampires.

The ensemble of actors includes Nicholas Denton, Elizabeth McGovern, William Fichtner, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, and Celine Buckens. A guest appearance will be made by Jason Schwartzman, and both Eric Bogosian and Justin Kirk will reprise their characters from Rice’s ‘Interview with the Vampire’, making cameo appearances in this latest series. John Lee Hancock and Mark Lafferty, along with Mark Johnson, and Tom Williams, are executive producers of ‘Talamasca’, alongside Christopher Rice.

The official high-definition trailer for the first two seasons of the animated adult comedy ‘Helluva Boss’ has been released by Amazon Prime Video. Previously released on YouTube, the trailer showcases sneak peeks from the first two seasons and also includes snippets from the original episode. The upcoming prequel episode is titled ‘Mission: Zero’, which delves into the backstory of I.M.P. and their first attempt at assassination.

The cast of ‘Helluva Boss’ consists of Brandon Rogers, Richard Horvitz, Vivian Williams, Erica Lindbeck, and Bryce Pinkham. Among other talented voices in the series are Alex Brightman, James Monroe Iglehart, Cristina Vee, Georgie Leahy, Rochelle Diamante, and Morgana Ignis.

The forthcoming spinoff series from Roku Originals, ‘This First House’, has revealed its premiere image to the public. This spinoff traces the journey of two families from either the Millennial or Gen Z generations as they undertake the process of buying and maintaining their first home. The narrative will be steered by Zack and Camille Dettmore, a husband-and-wife duo, ably supported by industry experts from the real estate, mortgage, legal and construction sectors.

Oxygen has publicized the upcoming debut of a new factual crime series, ‘The Death Investigator with Barbara Butcher’, set to premiere on Sept. 27. Audiences will explore mysteries with Barbara Butcher, who is recognized globally for her expertise in the field of medicolegal death investigation. The forthcoming season will showcase Butcher’s investigation into 10 diverse cases.

The investigative episodes include a variety of startling cases such as a Las Vegas journalist who faced a surprise attack outside his residence, an unexplained corpse found dumped in a New York City tunnel, and an intricate mission to unveil the identity of a victim discovered in the East River.

A culinary magic will take over the Food Network with the second installment of ‘Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking’ set to launch on Nov. 2, at 8:00pm EST. The cooking competition will be helmed by James and Oliver Phelps, who played Fred and George Weasley in the Harry Potter series. The show revolves around eight teams, competing to win the crown with their Harry Potter-inspired gastronomic delicacies, which will be evaluated by Carla Hall, Jozef Youssef, and special guests linked to the franchise.

The upcoming season will present six episodes featuring guest stars including Warwick Davis, Afshan Azad, and Devon Murray, familiar faces who portrayed Professor Flitwick, Padma Patil, and Seamus Finnigan respectively in the original Harry Potter films.

Spesh!, an independent production division focused on producing comedy specials has been launched by the Lyric Hyperion Theater. They plan on releasing this content directly on YouTube alongside promoting their short content on various social platforms. ‘Temporary, Beautiful’ by Emily Browning and ‘Teeny Tiny’ by Joey Greer are the anticipated one-hour specials to be rolled out this fall.

Some more alternative comedy specials to be launched include productions by Ahmed Bharoocha, Kat Bird, Harper-Rose Drummond, Babs Gray, Natasha Mercado, Veronica Osorio, Alyssa Sabo, and Uriah Wesman.

The SCAD AnimationFest is making a return at the university’s SCADshow theater from Sept. 25-27, showcasing a variety of film and television projects. The animation fest, organized by the Savannah College of Art and Design, will also host guest appearances, panel discussions, and honor award-winning individuals in the animation industry.

The festival will honor ‘Phineas and Ferb’ creators Dan Povenmire and Jeff ‘Swampy’ Marsh for their significant contributions to animation. Directors Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans of the ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ will also receive special recognitions for their contributions.

MGM+ has made an exciting announcement regarding the continuation of ‘Rogue Heroes’ for its third season. The series stars prominent actors Jack O’Connell, Sofia Boutella, and Dominic West. The new season will extend the narrative of the Special Forces unit in France during Summer 1944 and will somewhat fictionalize the impact of war on the lead characters.

The plot of the third season will follow Paddy Mayne and his Rogues who have made a daring insertion deep behind enemy lines. Their mission is to sabotage and disrupt German forces while supporting the Allied advances. As they join forces with the French resistance and new recruits, they face numerous challenges when the liberation of Western Europe begins to unfold.

The lineup will be bolstered with the addition of new cast members including Lorne MacFadyen, Nick Hargrove, Andrew Dawson, and Jake Jarratt. The third season will also see familiar faces with Theo Barklem-Biggs, Corin Silva, Jacob Ifan, Jacob McCarthy, Stuart Campbell, Bobby Schofield, and Jack Barton reprising their roles.
