US Capitol under a lockdown due to a security incident

BREAKING: US Capitol Police say they responded to the "North Barricade vehicle access point along Independence Avenue for reports someone rammed a vehicle into two USCP officers. A suspect is in custody. Both officers are injured. All three have been transported to the hospital."

Message sent to congressional offices: "Due to … security threat located. All U.S. Capitol Campus Buildings, no entry or exit is permitted at this time. You may move throughout the building(s) but stay away from exterior windows and doors. If you are outside, seek cover."

BREAKING / NBC News: There's been a security incident outside the U.S. Capitol and the entire U.S. Capitol is locked down.

People inside the Capitol have been advised to stay away from windows and door and to seek cover if outside.
