Attorney General Pam Bondi has delivered a sharp warning to Democrat Representative Jasmine Crockett after Crockett made inflammatory remarks calling for action against Elon Musk during a virtual event tied to the so-called “Tesla Takedown” movement.
Crockett, a progressive from Texas, declared during the rally:
“On March 29, it’s my birthday, and all I want to see happen on my birthday is for Elon to be taken down.”
She went on to suggest that financial pressure was the best way to “get their attention,” seemingly encouraging coordinated economic attacks on Musk and Tesla.
Bondi Responds: “Tread Very Carefully”
Attorney General Bondi didn’t mince words.
“Nothing will happen to Elon Musk,” Bondi said firmly. “We are watching this situation very closely. Representative Crockett and anyone involved in these efforts should tread very carefully.”
Bondi made it clear that the government is taking recent threats and acts of vandalism against Tesla properties extremely seriously. She noted that three suspects have already been charged in connection with violent attacks on Tesla facilities and could face up to 20 years in federal prison.
“We are not backing off these charges,” Bondi said. “We are investigating every individual who may be involved in a coordinated effort to target private citizens and American businesses.”
Pattern of Escalating Violence
The remarks from Crockett come amid a wave of left-wing attacks on Tesla, which have included firebombings, property damage, and coordinated online efforts to harass Tesla customers and employees. These attacks are believed to be politically motivated due to Elon Musk’s role in advising the Trump administration and leading the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
While Crockett later attempted to walk back her comments—claiming they were meant to advocate for nonviolent economic pressure—Bondi and other federal officials have made it clear: calls to “take down” private citizens will not be ignored.
Federal Crackdown on Domestic Extremism
The Department of Justice, under Trump’s leadership, has begun pursuing domestic terrorism charges against those involved in the anti-Tesla movement. Bondi stressed that no one—regardless of political status or platform—will be shielded from legal consequences if they encourage or participate in violence.
“This is not protest. This is a coordinated campaign of intimidation and destruction,” Bondi said. “And it will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
The Bottom Line
In America, we don’t target people for their political views or punish them for building successful businesses. As Elon Musk continues to play a key role in reforming bloated federal agencies and modernizing government under President Trump’s second term, the far left has responded with rage, aggression, and threats.
Pam Bondi’s message is loud and clear: No one is above the law—not even a sitting member of Congress.
