President Donald Trump is calling out the mainstream media for what he described as blatant bias, accusing them of glorifying the deportation case of Kilmar Abrego Garcia—an illegal immigrant with alleged ties to MS-13—while ignoring the tragic story of Angel Mom Patty Morin, whose daughter was brutally murdered by another illegal alien.

Speaking during a press briefing, Trump blasted what he called a “disgraceful double standard” in how legacy outlets cover immigration-related tragedies. “The media rushes to defend an illegal alien with a violent past,” Trump said, “but they ignore the pain and suffering of American families like Patty Morin, whose daughter Rachel was murdered by someone who never should have been here.”

Garcia, a Salvadoran national, was deported despite a 2019 court order claiming he might face persecution if returned. The Trump administration cited his suspected gang ties, history of domestic violence, and broader threat to public safety as justification for the deportation—decisions rooted in national security concerns.

Meanwhile, the heartbreaking case of Rachel Morin—a young woman killed in 2023 by an illegal immigrant—has received minimal coverage from major networks. Her mother, Patty Morin, has spoken out publicly, pleading through tears for the media to stop ignoring the stories of families destroyed by failed border policies.

“Why is it that when an American gets murdered by an illegal alien, the media turns the page?” Trump asked. “But when someone with a criminal record gets deported, suddenly it’s a human rights crisis?”

The president’s remarks come as a federal judge pressures the administration to show efforts to return Garcia to the U.S., despite growing outrage over the judicial interference and the suspect’s background. Critics of the ruling argue it’s yet another example of activist judges putting criminal aliens ahead of American citizens.

For Trump, the case underscores everything wrong with the current media landscape—and with the immigration system itself. “We stand with Angel Moms like Patty Morin,” he said. “And we will never let their voices be drowned out by a press that’s more interested in protecting criminals than protecting Americans.”

The contrast couldn’t be starker. One man illegally entered the country, built a history of violence, and was deported—only for activists and journalists to rush to his defense. Meanwhile, the mother of a murdered American citizen is left pleading for attention from a media class that seems to have already moved on.

Under Trump’s leadership, the message is clear: American lives come first—and no amount of media spin will change that.
