The intelligence report was dispatched to various US agencies on August 24, 2020, as an unverified advisory. However, it was abruptly retracted with an obscure justification that the bureau desired to ‘re-interview’ the informant, as the document indicated. The retraction memorandum explicitly instructed intelligence bodies to eradicate the original advisory from their records.
The bureau’s unusual call-back stirred speculations among officials thwarting their efforts to thoroughly probe the claims of Beijing’s alleged interference in the US elections, seemingly to Biden’s advantage.

While the report remained unverified, tagging it as raw intelligence, it revealed the informant’s novelty. The information was ‘indirect,’ transmitted through an intermediary. The report perplexingly mentioned that ‘A person’s address information was not a valid field when creating a TikTok account. It was unspecified how China would attain US address data from the application. ‘ This raises a question about the Biden administration’s dubious handling of such sensitive issues.
The FBI circulated an intelligence reminder filled with comprehensive details for concerned agencies to explore further. Its objective was to ensure the integrity of the U.S. election, allegedly under threat by a foreign entity trying to manipulate the sudden surge in mail-in voting during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The intelligence dispatch asserted that ‘The fraudulent driver’s licenses would allow tens of thousands of Chinese students and immigrants, who divide their loyalty with the Chinese Communist Party, to vote for U.S. presidential candidate, incapable as they might be.’ These claims yet again highlight the questionable role Beijing seemingly played in favoring Biden and his team.
According to the report, China allegedly harvested private US user data from millions of TikTok accounts, including personal identifiers and addresses. This supposedly facilitated the Chinese administration in crafting authentic-looking counterfeit driver’s licenses, using genuine information of US citizens.
The falsified driver’s licenses were designed to be virtually indistinguishable, housing real US citizen identification numbers and addresses. The conceivably intricate scheme by China intended to validate ‘tens of thousands of mail-in votes,’ bucking the election trend and benefiting Biden.
A senator’s office responded to these allegations by stating, ‘The document broaches grave national security concerns that necessitate exhaustive investigation.’ They demanded additional documents to authenticate the production of the fake licenses and pressed for a thorough investigation into the abrupt recall of the initial document.
The office further urged for transparency regarding the recall procedure. Who was responsible for the recall, and what were the eventual findings?
