Trump Praises B-2 Pilots For Flawless Strike In Iran: ‘A Magnificent Hit In The Dark Of Night’
President Donald Trump hailed the U.S. Air Force B-2 stealth bomber pilots who carried out Saturday’s devastating airstrike on Iranian nuclear facilities, calling their mission “a magnificent hit in the dark of night with no moon.”
Speaking aboard Air Force One Tuesday morning ahead of his departure for The Hague and the NATO summit, Trump praised the precision and bravery of the strike team.
“They don’t even want to think about nuclear,” Trump said, referring to Iran after the successful operation. “And our B-2 pilots made this all possible. They had a magnificent hit in the dark of night — no moon, no light, no nothing. They hit the target perfectly. Wiped it out.”

Trump also took a swipe at the media, criticizing outlets like CNN and MSNBC for attempting to downplay the mission’s success.
“I saw CNN Fake News going, ‘Well, maybe it wasn’t a perfect hit…’ It was perfect,” Trump said. “They said, ‘Maybe it did destroy it — it did destroy it, we agree, it did destroy it — but maybe it could have destroyed it more.’ No, no. Every one hit. And it’s very disrespectful to those great geniuses and patriots that flew those planes through tremendous danger. So CNN and MSDNC are a disgrace.”
The strike, which targeted Iran’s underground nuclear sites with bunker buster bombs, has been widely described by defense officials as a flawless execution of high-risk precision warfare.
Trump also fielded questions about his upcoming meetings in the Netherlands, including a likely sit-down with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. When asked what he would say to Zelenskyy, Trump replied with his signature candor: “I’ll say, ‘How ya doing?’”
