President Donald Trump announced a major legal victory on Tuesday, celebrating the settlement of his lawsuit against “60 Minutes,” CBS, and parent company Paramount over what he called a “deceptively edited” interview with former Vice President Kamala Harris.

In a triumphant post on Truth Social, Trump declared, “BREAKING NEWS! We have just achieved a BIG AND IMPORTANT WIN in our Historic Lawsuit against 60 Minutes, CBS, and Paramount.” He went on to call out other media outlets, warning that more lawsuits could follow if deceptive reporting continues.

According to Trump, CBS and Paramount agreed to pay $16 million in cash and committed to providing an additional $20 million in advertising, public service announcements, or similar programming — bringing the total value of the settlement to more than $36 million.

“This is another in a long line of VICTORIES over the Fake News Media, who we are holding to account for their widespread fraud and deceit,” Trump added.

The lawsuit centered on an edited “60 Minutes” segment featuring Kamala Harris that Trump’s legal team said misrepresented the facts and misled the American public. The administration maintained that the edits were deliberately manipulated to portray Trump and Harris in a false light, violating journalistic standards and damaging public trust.

Trump also took the opportunity to mock ABC News and anchor George Stephanopoulos, referencing a recent legal settlement they reached in a similar case. Referring to Stephanopoulos as “George Slopadopoulos,” Trump said both networks “knew they defrauded the American People, and were desperate to settle.”

The victory comes as the Trump administration continues ramping up pressure on major media organizations. Trump warned that outlets like The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Washington Post, CNN, and MSNBC are “ON NOTICE” and accused them of pushing false narratives.

“MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Trump concluded.

This settlement follows another escalation in Trump’s media war just one day earlier, when the White House revoked The Wall Street Journal’s press access during the president’s trip to Scotland. The move came after the Journal published a story linking Trump to a birthday letter allegedly sent to Jeffrey Epstein — a claim the president has called “fake and defamatory.”
