Ella Emhoff Suffers from ‘Climate Anxiety,’ Feels ‘Disgust’ at State of the World
Kamala Harris’ activist stepdaughter Ella Emhoff is once again making headlines for her out-of-touch commentary, this time in a bizarre TikTok rant where she confessed to suffering from so-called “climate anxiety.”
In the nearly six-and-a-half-minute video, the 26-year-old self-described fashion designer and part-time model appeared in an orange hat with the message “Take off your clothes.” She nervously chuckled before claiming that the environment is “really f–king getting to me,” and that she experiences overwhelming dread because of climate change.
“It’s not funny. I do, it’s just one of those things — it’s not funny but you just nervous laugh about it because it’s scary. It is,” Emhoff told her roughly 19,000 viewers.
Her “check in” clip didn’t stop at the climate. She went on to lament that she feels “disgust” at the state of the world, rattling off a list of progressive talking points about “genocides, the loss of rights, the loss of healthcare, the just general fear that everyone has surrounding affordability, their lives, their livelihood, like, everything.”
Visibly emotional, Emhoff said the problems she perceives feel “so big” that she often finds it difficult to cope. “Besides the small things we can do and pushing for change and fighting and protesting, it’s really hard not to sit in those moments where it just feels so heavy. So I’ve definitely been feeling that,” she continued.
The Vice President’s stepdaughter has long embraced a left-wing activist persona, using her platform for fringe causes and highly political statements. This latest performance comes amid growing criticism of elite progressives who preach about the climate while enjoying lifestyles far removed from the hardships of ordinary Americans.
Emhoff’s comments highlight the widening cultural gap between the ruling class and average citizens. While many Americans struggle with inflation, energy costs, and day-to-day concerns, the Vice President’s family broadcasts performative anxiety on social media platforms to a curated audience of followers.
Her remarks also underscore the growing obsession among young progressive activists with what they call “climate anxiety,” a term critics dismiss as a symptom of manufactured panic rather than legitimate concern. For opponents, it’s another example of the hysteria peddled by the left to justify sweeping government controls and lifestyle restrictions in the name of “saving the planet.”
