Gavin Newsom Doubles Down On Incendiary Rhetoric, Targets Stephen Miller

California Governor Gavin Newsom is facing mounting criticism after his official press office account posted a series of inflammatory attacks on President Donald Trump’s Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller. The move comes just weeks after the assassination of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk, a killing that investigators linked to politically charged motives.

The @GovPressOffice account declared, “STEPHEN MILLER IS A FASCIST!” Miller responded directly, asking, “Why do you think they posted this?” The press office doubled down, replying: “because you’re a fascist.”

Donald Trump Jr. called out the exchange, warning that Newsom knew “exactly what he’s doing.” The governor’s account shot back again: “yes, calling out your dad and his authoritarian stooges for being fascists.”

The escalation drew sharp condemnation, particularly in light of the growing threat of political violence across the country. “They have 0 intention of ‘turning the temperature down’ btw,” former NCAA swimmer Riley Gaines said. Meghan McCain added, “It’s really a mystery why republicans are so skeptical that the left actually wants to ‘turn the temperature down’.”

Fox News host Harris Faulkner noted the chilling similarity between Newsom’s rhetoric and the words scrawled on bullet casings at two separate politically motivated killings. “Why would the Press Office of a sitting Governor post rhetoric like what was scrawled on shell casings at the scene of two separate killings?” she asked.

Republicans in Congress also blasted Newsom. “Gavin, this is very dangerous. Please, for the love of all that is holy, stop the violent rhetoric. It’s been two weeks since Charlie Kirk’s assassination, time to get your sht together before someone else gets klled,” Rep. Nancy Mace (R-NC) posted.

Andrew Kolvet, executive producer of The Charlie Kirk Show, echoed that message: “You’ve got to stop this. Seriously.”

Despite pleas to cool down the rhetoric, Newsom’s office has shown no signs of walking back the comments.
