Rosie O’Donnell Can’t Figure Out Why Her Therapist Isn’t Panicking About Trump
Actress and comedian Rosie O’Donnell admitted this week that her therapist was not nearly as panicked about President Donald Trump as she was — and that revelation only made her more anxious.
During an appearance on “The Best People with Nicolle Wallace,” O’Donnell vented about what she sees as a looming disaster if Trump continues to implement his agenda, claiming the country itself may not survive his presidency.
She argued that Democrats should be more welcoming to former Trump supporters who say they regret their votes. But despite her plea, polling shows that Trump’s base remains overwhelmingly loyal and continues to back his leadership across a range of issues.
“When people say, ‘I changed my mind,’ we have to say, ‘Welcome back to reality. Let’s all be Americans together,’” O’Donnell said. “Because what’s happening is not only happening to Democrats. It’s happening to everyone. And when the Medicaid cuts go in, old people are going to start to die, to die.”
O’Donnell doubled down on her warnings, claiming the “worst” was yet to come. “What he’s done hasn’t even hit us yet. And if he’s not stopped now, we have lost our country. And I don’t know, Nicolle, how it is that some people cannot see it,” she told Wallace.
That was when she shared the exchange with her therapist, who apparently did not share her sense of impending doom. “My therapist said, ‘Why are you so upset?’ And I said to her, ‘Why are you not?’” O’Donnell recalled.

The comedian has been one of Trump’s loudest celebrity critics for decades, with their feud dating back long before his political career. After Trump won reelection in 2024, O’Donnell relocated to Ireland in protest, promising she could no longer live in the United States under his leadership.
Since then, she and the president have continued to trade public insults, with Trump even suggesting he might move to revoke her U.S. citizenship. Despite her relocation, O’Donnell has remained an outspoken voice in American politics, channeling her anger toward the president from abroad.
