Arab States Line Up Behind Trump’s Middle East Peace Plan
A coalition of Arab states came out Monday in support of President Donald Trump’s peace framework to end the war in Gaza and chart a path toward a Palestinian state.
Qatar, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt issued a joint declaration after Trump unveiled the plan at the White House alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Each country’s foreign minister signed onto the statement.
The declaration praised Trump’s “leadership and his sincere efforts to end the war in Gaza,” while expressing confidence in his ability to bring stability to the region.
“The ministers welcome the announcement by President Trump regarding his proposal to end the war, rebuild Gaza, prevent the displacement of the Palestinian people and advance a comprehensive peace, as well as his announcement that he will not allow the annexation of the West Bank,” the joint statement read.

Arab leaders further pledged to “engage positively and constructively with the United States and the parties toward finalizing the agreement and ensuring its implementation, in a manner that ensures peace, security, and stability for the peoples of the region.”
Trump heralded the plan as “a historic day for peace,” adding that the U.S.-backed framework could deliver not just an end to hostilities in Gaza, but also “eternal peace in the Middle East.”
The sweeping support from Arab states increases pressure on Hamas, the last major holdout, to accept the terms. Under the agreement, Hamas and similar groups would be demilitarized, dismantled, and barred from controlling Gaza.
“If Hamas rejects the deal, which is always possible – they’re the only one left, everyone else has accepted it – but I have a feeling we’re going to have a positive answer. But if not, you know, Bibi, you’d have our full backing to do what you have to do,” Trump warned.
Netanyahu backed up Trump’s warning, saying Israel would not hesitate to act if Hamas refuses to comply. “This can be done the easy way, or it can be done the hard way. But it will be done,” he said.
