White House Releases MRI Results From Trump’s Heart And Stomach Scans
The White House on Monday released President Donald Trump’s MRI results, confirming that scans of his heart and stomach came back “perfectly normal.”
Trump, who turned 79 in June, underwent the imaging procedures in October as part of a routine physical. The results were made public after Minnesota Governor Tim Walz questioned Trump’s health and demanded transparency over the MRI findings.
During the afternoon press briefing, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt read a statement from Trump’s physician, Dr. Sean Barbabella. According to the doctor, the advanced imaging was standard for men in Trump’s age group and was conducted to ensure his long-term cardiovascular and abdominal health.

Dr. Barbabella stated that the president’s imaging showed no abnormalities and confirmed that Trump remains in perfect health. The announcement aims to quash persistent rumors pushed by critics who have speculated about Trump’s condition throughout his second term.
Speculation ramped up again over the weekend when Walz claimed that Trump appeared to be “fading physically” and exhibiting unhealthy behavior. Trump responded forcefully, blasting Walz as “seriously retarded” and criticizing Minnesota’s refugee resettlement policies. He told reporters he had no issue releasing the scan results and joked that the MRI “wasn’t the brain” because he had already aced a cognitive test.
Despite nearing his 80th birthday, Trump continues to maintain an intense travel and work schedule. Earlier this year, Dr. Barbabella diagnosed the president with chronic venous insufficiency in his legs — a common condition among older adults that causes swelling. The doctor emphasized that it poses no serious health threat.
Trump’s medical team continues to characterize his overall condition as excellent.
