Trump Gives Iran 48-Hour Ultimatum To Reopen Strait Of Hormuz

President Donald Trump warned Iran that it has just two days to reopen the Strait of Hormuz to commercial shipping or face severe military consequences.

In a public statement, Trump reiterated a previously issued deadline, making clear that failure to restore access to the critical waterway would trigger a major escalation. He emphasized that time was running out as tensions in the region continue to rise.

The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the most important ????? corridors in the world, with roughly 20 percent of global seaborne oil passing through it. Disruptions have already slowed commercial traffic significantly after multiple attacks on oil tankers and ongoing threats to vessels in the region.

The warning comes as U.S. forces continue searching for a missing pilot after an F-15 fighter jet was reportedly shot down over Iran. One crew member has already been recovered, but efforts to locate the second pilot remain ongoing.

Iran has continued launching missile strikes targeting Israel and U.S.-aligned nations in the Gulf, further intensifying the conflict and raising concerns about broader regional instability.

Trump previously set a longer timeline for Iran to either negotiate or reopen the strait, but his latest message underscores a more urgent deadline as the situation escalates.

With global energy markets already reacting to the disruption, the next 48 hours could prove critical in determining whether the conflict expands or begins to stabilize.
