President Trump Floats Replacing Dropped Freedom 250 Performers With Major Rally Speech

President Donald Trump suggested Saturday that he could personally take center stage at the upcoming Freedom 250 concert after several artists backed out of the patriotic event tied to America’s 250th anniversary celebration.

In a fiery Truth Social post, Trump mocked the entertainers who withdrew from the concert lineup and joked that he may replace them himself, calling himself “the Number One Attraction anywhere in the World.”

“I understand Artists are getting ‘the yips’ having to do with their performance on Wednesday,” Trump wrote. “So I am thinking about bringing the Number One Attraction anywhere in the World, the man who gets much larger audiences than Elvis in his prime, and he does so without a guitar.”

Trump continued by describing himself as “the man who loves our Country more than anyone else” and “the Greatest President in History (THE GOAT!), DONALD J. TRUMP.”

The president said he could transform the event into an “America is Back” rally speech designed to energize the country.

At least five artists recently dropped out of the Freedom 250 concert, including Martina McBride, Bret Michaels, Young MC, The Commodores, and Morris Day & The Time.

Several performers claimed the event had become too political after reports characterized it as Trump-backed programming connected to the nation’s semiquincentennial celebration.

Young MC said organizers never disclosed political involvement when artists initially agreed to participate.

“The artists were never told about any political involvement with the event,” he said. “I hope to perform in D.C. in the near future at an event that is not so politically charged.”

Michaels also cited safety concerns after backlash erupted online over his scheduled appearance.

“Unfortunately, what was presented to us as a celebration of our country has evolved into something much more divisive than what I agreed to be a part of,” Michaels said, adding that threats had been directed toward him, his band, and his family.

Trump dismissed the departing performers as “Third Rate ‘Artists’” and said he only wants to be surrounded by “Happy People, Smart People, Successful People, and People that know how to WIN.”

Despite the withdrawals, organizers behind Freedom 250 insist the celebration remains nonpartisan and focused on commemorating America’s 250th birthday.

“Freedom 250 is focused on our signature celebrations and events that honor our history and engage all Americans,” spokeswoman Rachel Reisner said in a statement. “Welcoming all who share our goal of commemorating this milestone in a way that uplifts and unites America.”
