Autopsy Report Confirms Multiple Gunshot Wounds in Renee Good ICE Incident
Minneapolis authorities have confirmed that Renee Good sustained multiple gunshot wounds during last week’s confrontation with federal immigration officers. The Minneapolis Fire Department released documents on Thursday detailing Good’s injuries, which included two gunshot wounds to her right chest, one to her left forearm, and a possible shot to the head.
Good, 37, was fatally shot by ICE agent Jonathan Ross after she drove her SUV directly at him during an immigration enforcement operation. Video of the incident shows Good’s Honda Pilot accelerating into Ross before three shots were fired. Her vehicle continued forward before crashing into a parked car.
According to the fire department’s report, Good was unresponsive at the scene and displayed irregular pulse activity. First responders pulled her from the SUV and relocated her down the street for better medical access and to separate the situation from a growing crowd of bystanders. She was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Good was known for her activism against federal immigration enforcement and was present in the area as anti-ICE demonstrators followed agents through the city. Video footage shows she had parked in the middle of the road and refused to comply with officers’ commands. When one agent tried to open her door, she reversed and then lunged forward, striking Ross.
The incident has sparked ongoing protests in Minneapolis, with left-wing politicians blaming ICE and President Donald Trump for escalating tensions. Governor Tim Walz and Mayor Jacob Frey have accused federal agents of committing violence and “terrorizing” communities.
The Trump administration has stood firmly behind Ross, calling the incident an act of domestic terrorism and defending the agent’s right to use force to protect himself.
Speaking to CBS News, President Trump said that while Good may have been a “very solid, wonderful person” under other circumstances, her actions that day were dangerous.
“When you look at that tape, it can be viewed two ways I guess, but when you look at the way that car pulled away — there are a couple versions of that tape that are very, very bad,” Trump said.
The president reiterated his support for ICE and said agents are working under increasingly hostile conditions due to interference from local officials and activists.
