BLM Chapter Leader Goes Viral After Physical Altercation With Female Colleague
A leader connected to a local Black Lives Matter chapter in Illinois has gone viral after a video surfaced showing a physical altercation with a female colleague inside a BLM office.
Clyde McLemore, identified as the executive director of a BLM chapter in Lake County, Illinois, was reportedly involved in a confrontation with Nyesha Hill. The incident allegedly took place inside a hallway beneath a Black Lives Matter banner, according to accounts circulating online.
Reports say the dispute began after Hill entered the office and confronted McLemore over money. She allegedly accused him of misusing funds associated with the organization and demanded access to some of the money during the heated exchange.
According to accounts of Hill’s report to police, she claimed McLemore had been spending BLM funds on activities unrelated to the organization’s stated mission. Hill reportedly accused him of gambling with the money while she said she was doing the work to keep the local operation running.
The argument quickly escalated and the two began physically fighting. Both individuals reportedly threw punches during the altercation before the confrontation ended.

Police were later informed that both McLemore and Hill suffered lip injuries during the incident. Despite the physical confrontation, neither person involved chose to press charges following the altercation.
Hill reportedly told officers that she did not want to pursue charges because she did not want to see a Black man sent to jail. As a result, the incident did not lead to criminal charges.
The viral video has fueled renewed criticism of Black Lives Matter leadership and the handling of funds connected to the movement. Critics have pointed to past controversies involving national BLM leaders who faced scrutiny over spending tied to luxury homes and personal purchases.
Supporters of the movement argue that local disputes do not represent the broader goals of Black Lives Matter, which has organized protests and activism around policing and racial justice issues across the United States.
The incident has nonetheless generated widespread attention online as the video continues circulating across social media platforms.
