A piece of gossip recently propagated on the video-sharing platform, YouTube, stirringly alleged that famed actor Brad Pitt had been called to testify in the currently ongoing trial involving Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. The court procedures, being held in a federal court located in the bustling heart of Manhattan, New York, had started off on the 5th of May, 2025. This intriguing rumor originated from the Black Is Best YouTube channel, when a video was posted with a suggestive caption, saying that Pitt had become involved on ‘Day 14 of Diddy trial.’ By the moment this was discussed, the video had managed to achieve a whopping number of 150 thousand views.
The individual posting this news had raised quite an intrigue in the YouTube community, inferring that the renown star of the movie ‘Fight Club’ had mystifyingly ‘opened with a cryptic line’, which inevitably left the audience perplexed. The description further escalated the drama, accusing the infamous rapper, Diddy, of holding an alleged ‘psychological chokehold’ on Brad Pitt. This wild assertion quickly ignited discussions within the public and rapidly became something of a web sensation.
Nevertheless, upon closer scrutiny, this viral claim was soon disclosed as counterfeit. The baseless allegations, which were built merely upon suggestive associations, held no place in reality. Brad Pitt hadn’t appeared on the stand to provide testimony at the Diddy trial. Furthermore, the venerable actor had never directly accused Diddy of causing him any psychological distress.
Evidence undermining these sensational rumors comes directly from reliable sources. The ABC News, in a report dated June 1, 2025, confirmed that no record of Brad Pitt has been found on the list of the individuals testifying in Combs’ trial. This devastating blow to the rumor proves that it was nothing but a figment of someone’s imagination.
Subsequently, on further inquiry, it was observed that no prior connection existed relating Brad Pitt to any criminal activities that Diddy might be associated with. This fact alone shatters the assumption that Pitt would testify against Diddy.
Interestingly enough, Brad Pitt’s name did indeed come up during the trial, yet, not in the manner that the YouTube channel suggested. In reality, an associate of Combs, known as Mia, was the actual person to bring up the actor. During her testimony, the witness mentioned Pitt in the context of an alleged altercation between Diddy and his former partner Cassie Ventura during the premiere of Pitt’s movie ‘Killing Them Softly’ at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2012.
However, the gossip peddled on the ‘Black Is Best’ channel, fabricating an account of Brad Pitt’s alleged testimony at the trial, carries no weight in fact. Their claim that Pitt had accused Diddy of blackmailing him into a forced sexual relationship was entirely untrue.
Drastically, Pitt’s name did not surface anywhere else during the trial except for the moments the ‘Mia’s testimony. The Hollywood star, who is by no means a stranger to rumors or allegations, was nowhere accused of any nefarious deeds himself. Unfortunately, the fabrication of this fictitious tale was done with a total disregard for the truth.
In further contradiction to these wild speculations, the two-time Oscar winner has maintained a professional and dignified silence amidst the saga. Brad Pitt has kept clear of the situation, refraining from providing any comments on the speculative rumor or Diddy’s ongoing legal troubles.
Notwithstanding the lack of any official connection to the trial, it can’t be ignored that Pitt and Combs have crossed paths at industry functions throughout the years. In fact, the two were reportedly present at the same event after the premiere of his film ‘Killing Them Softly’ at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2012.
After this premiere, Pitt threw a private gathering at Villa St. George, a lavish locale known for its exclusivity. Among the coterie of 100 illustrious guests, Diddy was indeed in attendance, along with other industry luminaries like Kylie Minogue, Chris Tucker, and Ray Liotta.
The connections that have been drawn between them, however, are solely social and professional, having nothing to do with the trial. It had been reported by PEOPLE magazine that Pitt and Combs happily shared a toast to celebrate Pitt’s engagement to Angelina Jolie, and Combs even extended an invitation for the party to continue on his yacht. This instance of friendliness does not substantiate the unfounded Internet gossip.
