Citizens Unite for Demonstrations against Current Administration

There exists plenty of citizens who are expressing their resistance — be it continuous or singular – to the policy changes implemented by the current administration. They are gathering in the peaceful demeanor for protests, taking a stance against actions like job reduction and cost rationalization strategies by President Donald Trump’s government. At the helm of it is Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency, carrying out these endeavors.

Sonoma County has become a hub for these demonstrations. Regular, peaceful rallies are held by some groups, while others are strategizing for singular impactful gatherings. The following text attempts to convey the information shared with us regarding some of these rallies and events.

One notable protest on the calendar is Boyes Hot Springs’ ‘End Tax Injustice’. Marked for April 15, starting at 2 p.m., it is planned to take place at Boyes Hot Springs Post Office found at 18092 Sonoma Highway, Sonoma. At the same time, Cloverdale has scheduled its ‘End Tax Injustice’ demonstration at 115 Broad St., Cloverdale Post Office, but with a slightly earlier start at 12:30 p.m.

Joining the cause for the issue of tax justice, Cotati has also scheduled a mobilization rally. The protest which is named ‘End Tax Injustice’, like its counterparts in other cities, is slated for 2 p.m. at the local post office, namely 502 E. Cotati Ave., Cotati. Also carrying the same torch, ‘End Tax Injustice’ will be raised in Guerneville at a slightly earlier time, 12:30 p.m., at the Guerneville Post Office situated at 16060 Mill St., Guerneville.

The peaceful demonstration under the tag ‘End Tax Injustice’ will also resonate in Healdsburg and Kenwood. In Healdsburg, the event’s start time is scheduled for 2 p.m. at the Healdsburg Post Office located at 160 Foss Creek Circle, Healdsburg. Concurrently, in Kenwood, this rally will commence a little later, at 3:30 p.m., based at 8930 Sonoma Highway, Kenwood Post Office.

April 15 will also note similar movements in the cities of Petaluma, Rohnert Park, and Roseland. The ‘End Tax Injustice’ rally will be held in Petaluma at 120 Fourth St., Petaluma Post Office, and will commence at 12:30 p.m. Bringing attention to the same subject, Rohnert Park and Roseland have planned their rallies for a later time, 3:30 p.m., in their respective post offices.

The ‘End Tax Injustice’ rally will also highlight Santa Rosa, Sebastopol, and Sonoma on April 15. Santa Rosa’s gathering will begin at 5 p.m. at the Santa Rosa Main Post Office, located at 730 Second St., Santa Rosa. ‘End Tax Injustice’ rally in Sebastopol and Sonoma are scheduled to launch at 2 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. respectively, both held at their local post offices.

Windsor, remaining aligned with others, has also scheduled the ‘End Tax Injustice’ rally for April 15. This event is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m. at the Windsor Post Office, located at 8800 Lakewood Drive, Windsor.

April 19 holds another noteworthy protest, titled ‘A Revolution For All Not Just The Few’. The rally will start from Julliard Park and move towards the Old Courthouse Square in Santa Rosa. The event will be carried out from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

One recurring event is the Santa Rosa Tesla Protests. These rallies are held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the location being the Tesla Showroom at 3286 Airway Drive, Santa Rosa. This is an ongoing part of the demonstration effort, reoccurring at the same hours, and consistently giving an opportunity for people to express their stance.

The ‘Save Our VA’ demonstration also marks the protest schedule, but with a slight difference. Starting off at 11 a.m., it is set to take place at South Santa Rosa VA Clinic, presumably as a symbol of the venue’s significance. The specific location is 2285 Challenger Way, Santa Rosa.

Another ongoing rally is the ‘Stand With Palestine’ event. Taking place every Sunday from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., it sets its center stage at Old Courthouse Square in Santa Rosa. This in itself carves a symbol of the resolve and persistence of peaceful protestors.

Concluded by the mention of ‘Sonoma Plaza Vigil to Resist Trump Administration’ — a protest scheduled from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Sonoma Plaza located at 453 First St. E., Sonoma. Like many others mentioned earlier, it represents a unified call for action by a concerned citizenry.
