Democratic Incompetence Overshadowing American Politics

As a disclaimer, I was born a sceptic and a pessimist. It’s been my intrinsic nature and becomes further ingrained through my exploration of mankind’s history and our spiritual connection with God as illustrated in the Holy book. The 75 million Americans who demonstrated their political stance on November 5, 2024, served to reinforce my cynicism. Despite knowing that I should harbour optimism, it’s a struggle that’s very real for me.

Nonetheless, there are glimmers of hope in the current American landscape. Indeed, elements inspire optimism, like the election of Donald Trump to the presidency. Names like Pete Hegseth being associated with the Defense Department, Tom Homan’s appointment as border czar, Pam Bondi serving as Attorney General are all encouraging signs. Observing Elon Musk alongside his young, ambitious team relentlessly scrutinising the federal budget gives me hope that the system can be changed.

Any patriotic American who dreams of seeing a vibrant and successful America must be thrilled about the chain of events that unfolded over the previous month. Yet, ignoring the figure of 75 million is impossible. This number is symbolic of those who showed their support for candidates that exemplify incompetence, corruption, and decadence that has come to overshadow American politics.

These 75 million supporters seem alarmingly blind to the realities surrounding Kamala Harris, Tim Walz, and the Democratic Party. Worryingly, these individuals haven’t disappeared; they remain, and we’re not talking about a trivial percentage of the population. They played a significant role in electing Barack Obama to the presidency twice and supporting Joe Biden in securing that office — their legitimacy topic for another discussion.

Currently, the reins of power are held by those advocating for America — a fact which personally provides a sense of relief. The right people seem to be leading the government. However, that doesn’t change the fact that government and people are separate entities. A government can impose regulations but can’t alter individuals’ beliefs or values.

As conservatives who refer back to the Declaration of Independence and appreciate 1789 American values, we don’t place our faith solely on the government. If anything, I align with our Founding Fathers’ views that governmental systems are often a large part of the problem rather than the solution. The government has the power to enforce but not to change hearts.

Despite Trump’s commendable efforts to take control of the governmental chaos, he’s up against an opposing force of 75 million voters. A substantial portion of the population. Add to that the so-called deep state Republicans who would rather see him fail. Often, it’s hard for people to recognize the very deterioration that undermines them.

A single person can make significant contributions to a nation and shatter many false idols. Yet, nearly half the voting population endorsed Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. While we now have the upper hand, this accomplishment brings a sense of elation. But forcing conformity isn’t an embodiment of freedom.

Coercion is not something I condone. I don’t wish to impose my viewpoints on liberals, just as I detest their imposing theirs on me. We can, however, find common ground on certain issues, but there are aspects where compromise is simply out of the question — wrong should never be bargained with.

These non-negotiable include standing against the horrific acts of infanticide and human trafficking, protesting against unnecessary and perverse bodily mutilations, and debunking the absurdity of gender mismatches. These issues are not up for debate; they are only met with opposition and resistance. Now that we possess power, we must use this opportunity to stay vigilant, focus on enlightening the uninformed and work diligently towards overcoming obstacles.

Don’t mistake our current position for victory; we haven’t achieved anything substantial yet. Complacency and relaxation are luxuries we can’t afford right now. The existence of 75 million opposing individuals serves as the quintessential reminder of our mission. I apologize if my pessimistic and sceptical approach paints a grey picture.

But I wouldn’t call myself just a pessimist or a cynic; I prefer the term ‘historical realist.’ I try to see the world from a practical, historical perspective that offers a more accurate, if sometimes uncomfortable, view of reality. It’s essential to face the truth head-on, regardless of how bitter it can be.

In the end, our fight for the future of our country must be informed, realistic, and unwavering. Yes, we’re up against 75 million; yes, we’re fighting against entrenched attitudes and beliefs. But never forget that the real power lies not in the government but in the people. So, let’s roll up our sleeves and continue this crucial work.

In conclusion, we should take our current position of power as a motivation to push for what’s right. Let’s not allow ourselves to fall into complacency; let’s educate, enlighten, and lead by example. Always remember, 75 million people may choose to vote the other way, but our mission is to ensure our voice of reasoning resounds above the crowd.
