Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard announced Sunday that her office will soon release more documents exposing what she describes as a coordinated “treasonous conspiracy” by former President Barack Obama and his top intelligence officials to fabricate claims of Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Speaking to Maria Bartiromo on Sunday Morning Futures, Gabbard said, “Next week, we will be releasing more detailed information about how exactly this took place and the extent to which this information was sought to be hidden from the American people.”

The former Democrat-turned-independent revealed last week that Obama’s national security team overruled prior intelligence community assessments in December 2016 and instead ordered a new report designed to push the narrative that Russia hacked the election to help President Trump.

In a thread on X, Gabbard said Obama officials “created” a new intelligence assessment just weeks before leaving office and then “leaned on their allies in the media” to spread the false narrative. She called it a “years-long coup” against Trump designed to undermine the outcome of the 2016 election.

“So the effect of what President Obama and his senior national security team did was subvert the will of the American people,” Gabbard said. “Accountability is essential. Prosecution, indictments—this is the only way to ensure this never happens again.”

On Friday, Gabbard’s office released 100 documents detailing the scheme, which she says began after Trump’s election victory and involved deliberate suppression of earlier assessments that found no evidence Russia altered any vote outcomes.

“These documents show the conspiracy was directed by President Obama,” Gabbard said. “They are being referred to the Department of Justice and FBI for criminal referral.”

Despite mounting pressure, Democrats have dismissed the revelations. Rep. Jim Himes (D-CT) mocked the idea of legal action, claiming it would be “laughed out of court.” But Gabbard insists whistleblowers are coming forward and vowed her office will do “everything possible” to bring those responsible to justice.

When asked if she expects indictments, Gabbard replied, “In my view, we have the evidence to move forward and bring about justice.”
