Guthrie Says Family Received Message, Will Pay Ransom For Mother Nancy
Savannah Guthrie said in an emotional video posted Saturday night that her family has received a message from the people responsible for abducting her 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie, and that they are prepared to pay ransom to secure her safe return.
“We received your message and we understand,” Guthrie said while holding hands with her siblings, Annie and Camron. “We beg you now to return our mother to us, so we can celebrate with her. This is the only way we will have peace.” She added, “This is very valuable to us. And we will pay.”

Nancy Guthrie was reportedly taken from her home in Catalina Hills, outside Tucson, Arizona, during the early morning hours of February 1, according to authorities investigating the case.
President Donald Trump said Friday that federal investigators may soon have major developments. Speaking to reporters, he said officials have strong leads and suggested a resolution could come soon. Trump also said he had spoken with Savannah Guthrie and directed federal law enforcement to fully support local authorities and the family.
Police confirmed February 5 that blood discovered on the front porch of Nancy Guthrie’s home belonged to her. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said investigators are continuing to process DNA evidence and are working through dozens of tips received from the public.
Authorities said they still believe Nancy Guthrie is alive. Investigators also revealed that a doorbell camera was removed from the home during the abduction, and it has not yet been recovered.
Multiple ransom notes have reportedly been sent to the family, demanding millions of dollars in Bitcoin. Officials have not released details about the exact amounts or deadlines included in the messages.
Investigators also towed Guthrie’s vehicle from her home Friday, though authorities have not said why. The case remains active as local law enforcement works alongside federal agencies, including the FBI, in the ongoing search.
