In an unexpected turn of events, Kamala Harris decided to claim Donald Trump was responsible for the turmoil in Los Angeles, an accusation that did not sit well with a local California sheriff. Astonishingly, she criticized the former president’s utilization of the National Guard, deeming the action as a ‘dangerous escalation.’ However, Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco begged to differ, pointing out Harris and Governor Gavin Newsom’s misinformation.
Trump’s hand did not spark the riot flames, as Harris would have people believe. ‘Such a claim is not only an embarrassment but serves no purpose in quelling the violent uprising sweeping across the city,’ uttered Bianco, frustrated by the Democratic leaders. He felt that leaders like Harris, Newsom, and Mayor Karen Bass had claimed ownership of the chaos.
Bizarrely, Harris further displayed support for these ‘overwhelmingly peaceful’ demonstrations. Furthering her negative rhetoric, she suggested the recent ICE raids in Southern California were a ploy by the Trump administration to incite fear and division. Bianco once again disputed this claim, disapproving of the Democrats’ portrayal of disorder as tranquility.
With a stoic assertion Bianco stated, ‘Despite attempts by Gavin Newsom, Kamala Harris, Karen Bass and their Democrat colleagues to paint this as a ‘peaceful protest,’ we know it for what it is – Gavin’s Lawless California.’ Bianco was appalled, expressing that his state deserved more than the lawless pandemonium it was experiencing.
Though Riverside is situated roughly 50 miles southwest of the tumultuous Los Angeles, Bianco kept a close watch on the unfolding events. ‘Compliance with the law should be nonnegotiable in creating a polished society,’ he declared, underscoring the chaos occurring in the city.
Trump acted decisively by deploying 2,000 National Guard soldiers and placing 500 Marines in readiness. The LAPD too approved ‘the use of less lethal munitions’ for harnessing control over the city. Regrettably, the struggle for control became a political tug-of-war, with battle-lines drawn along party preferences.
The response from Governor Newsom was particularly notable, as he tossed an unfounded accusation towards Trump, blaming him for engineering societal unrest. In turn, Trump vociferously demanded apologies from both Newsom and Mayor Bass for the destruction in LA.
Trump then vowed to ‘liberate Los Angeles’ from the scourge of illegal aliens whom he said, had ‘claimed and tainted the glory of a once vibrant American city.’ To restore order, Trump brought together key personnel led by Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, and Attorney General Pam Bondi.
Trump strategically guided his team to ‘free Los Angeles from the Migrant Invasion, culminating these Migrant riots.’ He was determined that ‘Order would be restored, the Illegals expelled, and Los Angeles would be regained,’ assuring citizens of their city’s impending liberation.
In a rather misguided response, Governor Newsom expressed a contrary outlook, revealing his plea to Trump to ‘leave control in California’s hands.’ He audaciously called the intervention a ‘grave violation of state sovereignty,’ conveniently ignoring the rampant chaos when blaming Trump for squandering critical resources.
Mayor Karen Bass chimed in, oddly stating: ‘This invites unneeded disorder in the city of Los Angeles. The city does not need to be held hostage.’ This disconnect between action and rhetoric showed that the Democratic leaders were out of touch with the reality of the situation on the ground.
It seems evident from this incident that Democratic leaders like Kamala Harris and Gavin Newsom are attempting to manipulate narratives, dismissing their roles and responsibilities in managing the situation, all while aiming their political cannons at their opponents. Time will tell if the citizens of California can see through this smoke screen.
