New York State Police carried out an extensive operation that culminated in the confiscation of illicit substances, weapons, and a large sum of money in Annsville. A rigorous search warrant was executed at a property situated on Meadows Rd., leading to the discovery of a significant stash of dangerous substances and materials.
The search yielded twelve pounds of crystal methamphetamine alongside an unspecified quantity of cocaine, proving the existence of a substantial drug trade at the location. Concurrently, law enforcement officers seized eight long guns, further exposing the potential threat the inhabitants posed to the community.
Compounding the shocking haul was over $400,000 in U.S. currency, reinforcing the scale of the operation. Detectives also found drug packaging materials and weighing scales, confirming the house was, without a doubt, a hub for illicit drug distribution.
On the 27th of February, crucial members of the New York State Police Troop D, a unit dedicated to combating violent gangs and narcotics, teamed up with their counterparts from other units to locate and arrest the primary suspect involved in the case.
Joint efforts by United States Marshals, officials from the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, Utica Police Department, and Oneida County Probation resulted in the successful apprehension of the main perpetrator.
The suspect, identified as 53-year-old Ted A. Croniser from Taberg, was arrested during this operation that took place at a residence on Glenridge Drive, located in Annsville.
During the same operation, another individual, Jessica L. Centro, a 38-year-old resident from Taberg, was implicated in the case when she attempted to protect Croniser and hinder the operation. Consequently, law enforcement authorities also took her into custody.
Croniser was subsequently slapped with severe charges related to the serious crime of felony criminal possession of a controlled substance, shedding light on the gravity of the situation.
On the other hand, Centro faced serious accusations related to felony hindering prosecution, an awareness of the serious implications created by her actions. She was also charged with a misdemeanor related to the obstruction of governmental administration, identifying her as an accomplice in the unlawful activities.
In the aftermath of the successful raid, both Croniser and Centro are being held at the Oneida County Jail. They are awaiting a centralized arraignment that may bring further legal complications given the serious charges levied against them.
