Hillary Clinton Rips White Christian Men, Sparks Outrage Weeks After Charlie Kirk Assassination

Hillary Clinton set off a political firestorm Monday after remarks she made on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” were widely interpreted as a direct attack on white Christian men, a statement that hit especially hard just weeks after the assassination of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk.

Asked by co-host Mika Brzezinski whether America was still moving toward “a more perfect union,” Clinton claimed the nation was “on pause,” accusing conservatives of wanting to erase uncomfortable history. She said the Right was working to “turn the clock back” by writing slavery, suffrage, and other “inconvenient” moments out of museums and national parks.

“I think our story is all the more glorious when you look at where we came from, what we fought through,” added co-host Joe Scarborough. Clinton then jumped in with a sharp aside directed at the Trump administration, saying she wished his words could be blasted “24/7” outside the White House and Congress.

But it was what Clinton said next that unleashed a wave of backlash: “The idea that you could turn the clock back and try to recreate a world that never was dominated by, you know, let’s say it: white men of a certain persuasion, a certain religion, a certain point of view, a certain ideology, it’s just doing such damage to what we should be aiming for.”

Her remark was quickly criticized as inflammatory, given the national grief surrounding Kirk’s assassination by a politically motivated gunman less than three weeks ago.

“It’s beyond tone-deaf for Hillary to proclaim that conservative white Christian men are what’s wrong with America while the nation mourns the loss of Charlie Kirk,” Roger Severino of the Heritage Foundation told Fox News. “At least it confirms what we all suspected, that Hillary still believes millions of Americans belong in her ‘basket of deplorables.’”

Conservatives on social media also blasted Clinton. “Two weeks after Charlie Kirk is assassinated, Hillary Clinton reminds everyone that white Christian men are dangerous and doing damage to America. These people have no intention of turning down the temperature. They know they’re encouraging what happened,” one user wrote on X.

Another added: “Hillary Clinton makes yet another case for violence against white Christian men — the constant drumbeat against huge segments of the population is dehumanizing and dangerous. Her focus on Christianity is chilling — especially given the fact that she can’t bring herself to even name the religion.”
