IRGC Official Debunks Possibility of New War Initiated by Israel and Partners
An official from the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran has contradicted the speculation around Israel and its partners’ capacity to initiate another conflict with Iran, arguing that they lack such capability and, as an alternative, are using psychological tactics. ‘These adversaries are incapable of instigating another war, their strategy is to maintain a ambiance of anticipation and tension that resembles a warlike environment,’ declared Brigadier General Ali Mohammad Naeini on a recent Thursday. ‘With that intent, they engage in psychological warfare. We are neither the pioneers of warfare nor do we dread it. Our message to the Iranian people is clear; there is no cause for concern, for in the eventuality of a war, we will have the strategic advantage and the power to make the enemy rue their actions.’
Naeini’s comments emerged in the aftermath of a 12-day conflict that exploded on the 13th of June, initiated by an unanticipated aggressive strike from Israel that resulted in the assassination of high-profile commanders and nuclear scientists, and the deaths of numerous civilians. Alongside Israel, the United States also intervened in the conflict, attacking three Iranian nuclear locations, which was a blatant breach of international laws.
When the date reached June 24, Iran managed to establish a ceasefire through the execution of successful counter operations against the Israeli government and the US, thus curtailing the terrorist offences. Naeini stated that Israel’s strategic doctrine was left in shambles due to the war, shedding light on their fundamental misunderstanding of Iran’s resistance and the false notion that Iranians would surrender after a primary assault. ‘On the contrary,’ he explained, ‘the populace responded overwhelmingly against our adversaries’ fanciful expectations.’
As per Naeini’s analysis, the war showcased not only the unity of the Iranian nation, but also the competency of its military forces and the resoluteness of its leadership. He further stated that ‘Iran emerged from the horrific 12-day onslaught initiated by the US and Israel as a nation that’s stronger, more unified, and more potent.’ He highlighted, ‘Having been frustrated in their futile efforts, the opposition has veered towards psychological and economic warfare in an attempt to undermine our country’s fortitude, however, our military is highly vigilant and ready to combat any threats, with our preparedness exceeding all previous benchmarks.’
The conflict underscored the fact that Iranians possess a profound comprehension of threat perception and are resolute in their refusal to sacrifice their identity, unity, or sovereignty regardless of the situation, emphasized the spokesperson. ‘Despite the staggering amounts of financial resources the US and the Zionist regime spent in their quest to dethrone the Islamic Revolution and subdue the Iranian nation, their efforts were in vain,’ he concluded.
