Jasmine Crockett: Calling Trump ‘Hitler’ Is ‘Accurate Language’

Texas Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett doubled down Sunday on her inflammatory claim that President Donald Trump is a “wannabe Hitler,” telling CNN’s Dana Bash that the comparison was not only justified — but “accurate.”

The remarks, made during her appearance on State of the Union, came just weeks after she originally made the comparison on MSNBC. Rather than walk it back in the wake of Trump’s assassination attempt and a rise in political violence, Crockett leaned in harder.

“I am using that language because it is accurate language,” Crockett said. “When we see the consolidation of power, when we see them trying to chill speech of jokesters … that is a playbook out of Hitler. And I won’t deny it.”

Crockett’s comparison has sparked outrage across the political spectrum, with critics calling it grotesque, offensive, and dangerous. Still, the first-term Democrat — who has made headlines for mocking Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s disability and labeling black Republicans as sellouts — showed no signs of tempering her tone.

Her remarks included a broadside against Trump’s administration, which she referred to as a “regime,” and accused of being disinterested in history or preserving democratic norms.

But her comments weren’t just about Trump — they were a continuation of her ongoing rhetorical war against conservatives in general.

In just the past year, Crockett has:

• Mocked Governor Abbott as “Governor Hot Wheels” at an HRC event.

• Suggested black Republicans were akin to fraternizing with the Ku Klux Klan.

• Claimed Republicans are “inherently violent,” especially against minorities.

• Urged, on her birthday, that Elon Musk “be taken down” — a remark former AG Pam Bondi described as “domestic terrorism.”

Despite her track record, Crockett now serves on the DOGE Oversight Committee, where she claims to combat misinformation — even as she traffics in hyperbole, racial division, and historical distortion.

Crockett’s rhetoric has become emblematic of the far-left’s scorched-earth approach: normalize Nazi analogies, demonize political opponents, and vilify dissent — all while insisting they’re the ones defending democracy.

While President Trump and his allies delivered tributes focused on unity, liberty, and faith at Charlie Kirk’s memorial, Crockett used the moment to remind the country where she stands: unapologetically divisive and completely untethered from reality.
