Kennedy Family Members Demand Health Secretary’s Resignation

There has been a recent surge of criticism directed towards the current Health Secretary, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., from his own family members. This backlash was provoked by a hearing that had occurred in Congress during the previous week. During this session, Kennedy, part of President Trump’s Cabinet, was questioned about his controversial management of governmental health entities. Kerry Kennedy, his sibling, and Joseph P. Kennedy III, his nephew, publicly demanded his resignation from the Department of Health and Human Services on Friday. This prose from the illustrious Democratic family follows the very next day after Kennedy’s defense of his attempts to retract COVID-19 vaccine guidelines and dismiss important figures within the Centers for Disease Control in a Senate hearing that spanned over three hours.

This is not the initial instance where a response of this nature has occurred from within the Kennedy family towards Robert. During his attempt to secure a nomination in the last presidential elections, numerous relatives were in opposition. In addition, some even approached senators in the beginning of this year with a plea to reject his nomination as the health secretary under Trump’s administration due to his perception on vaccines that were deemed inappropriate.
