Leftist Assaults Trump Official At UN Following ‘Triple Sabotage’

A Trump administration official was attacked inside the United Nations Headquarters Thursday, just two days after President Donald Trump accused the international body of staging “triple sabotage” during his speech.

The official, who serves in a support role for Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., was followed into a bathroom, filmed, and physically assaulted by what the White House described as a “deranged leftist.”

“An HHS official was followed into a bathroom, recorded, physically assaulted and verbally accosted by a deranged leftist at the UN who somehow entered the venue past multiple layers of security,” White House Deputy Press Secretary Anna Kelly said in a statement. “Thankfully, the official is safe, and the lunatic was arrested, but this is part of a disturbing and dangerous set of failures by the UN after their sabotage of President Trump ahead of and during his speech.”

The suspect was arrested and charged with assault, aggravated harassment, attempted assault, and criminal possession of a weapon, but was quickly released from custody. Court proceedings are set for November 13.

The U.S. Secret Service has launched its own probe into how the intruder gained access to what should have been one of the most secure venues in the world. “This violent protester should never have been admitted into a major national security event,” Kelly added.

A U.S. UN spokesperson said the American delegation was “outraged” by the incident and demanded swift accountability. “This attack must be addressed swiftly, and consequences must be felt,” the statement read.

The assault comes on the heels of what Trump called “triple sabotage” during his UN visit earlier in the week — including an escalator malfunction that nearly caused a dangerous fall for the president and first lady, a teleprompter blackout that lasted 15 minutes, and a sound failure inside the auditorium that left diplomats unable to hear his remarks.

“This wasn’t a coincidence,” Trump said. “This was triple sabotage at the UN.” He has called for all security tapes to be preserved and for a full investigation into the incidents.
