Ms. Rachel Under Fire After ‘Free America From The Jews’ Comment Like Sparks Backlash
Children’s entertainer Ms. Rachel is facing growing outrage after an antisemitic comment — “Free America from the Jews” — was found liked by her official Instagram account under one of her own politically charged posts. The incident has triggered fierce debate about her political associations and judgment.
Ms. Rachel, whose real name is Rachel Griffin Accurso, posted a video Wednesday claiming the like was accidental. Through tears, she said she wasn’t “as good with touching things online” and that she meant to delete the comment but believes she hit “like and hide” by mistake.
The comment appeared below her original post reading: “Free Palestine, Free Sudan, Free Congo, and Free Iran.” One user noticed that the antisemitic reply had been marked “liked by author” and messaged her to flag it. Rachel quickly replied, “Deleted, how horrible,” before later clarifying, “Ya I believe I deleted that earlier right when I saw it! I hate antisemitism.”
But the comment remained live and continued to show her like well into the next day, triggering a flood of criticism. Ms. Rachel claimed in her video that she “feels like we can’t be human anymore online,” and insisted she deletes antisemitism “any time I see it.” She ended the clip with a plea: “I’m super sorry for any confusion it caused.”
The video, captioned “I’m so broken over this,” sparked mixed reactions. Some fans defended her, saying accidental likes happen, especially on a busy platform. But critics pointed out that the “like” and “delete” buttons are not near each other and that the comment remained active for at least 48 hours. “You had more than ample time to unmistake this,” one follower wrote.
Fueling further skepticism, Ms. Rachel responded to a comment from “thepalestinenewsnetwork” that read, “Spoiler alert: they left the comment themselves.” Ms. Rachel replied, “oooooooooohhh.” It’s unclear who “they” referred to, but the comment raised more eyebrows.
Rather than backing away from politics, Ms. Rachel doubled down. “My advocacy is wonderful and beautiful and I’m so proud of it,” she wrote, following her apology video. Earlier in the week, she appeared with New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani — a self-described democratic socialist — during a sing-along promoting free childcare.

Ms. Rachel was also appointed to Mamdani’s inaugural committee, solidifying her growing ties to far-left political figures. But the latest controversy is leading some parents to question her role as a children’s entertainer and whether her activism is overshadowing her content.
The incident has exposed a deeper divide among her audience — with some defending her character, and others alarmed by her pattern of political messaging and association with increasingly radical causes.
