Nicki Minaj Dismantles Gavin Newsom Over Musk Feud: “It’s the End of the Road for You”
Nicki Minaj is not holding back when it comes to California Governor Gavin Newsom—and she’s making it clear that she’s siding with Elon Musk in a brewing political culture war.
The Grammy-nominated rapper launched a fiery tirade on X (formerly Twitter) Friday, mocking Newsom’s looks, ambitions, and recent online spat with Musk, calling the Democrat’s expected presidential campaign a “race that you will not win.”
“Gavvy Pooh” Becomes Nicki’s New Target
Minaj, 43, lit up her timeline with insults aimed directly at Newsom. “Oh Gavvy pooh, it only gets worse from here for you, buddy,” she wrote alongside images of horror movie doll Chucky. “It’s the end of the road for you, my love.”
She then continued in her signature flamboyant style:
“Get on the nearest jet ski & let that beautiful hair blow in the wind. It will make you happier than this race that you will not win. Enjoy life. Peace.”
Minaj mocked Newsom as “the cute boy who got everything handed to him b/c of how cute & sexy & hot & smoking he was,” suggesting his political rise was driven more by charm than leadership.
Blasts Newsom’s Trans Agenda
At the center of the feud is a viral clip shared by Musk’s America PAC showing Newsom on the Ezra Klein Show saying he “wants to see trans kids”—a phrase Newsom’s critics have seized on.
Musk’s political operation posted the video with a caption slamming the governor for pushing trans-focused legislation. In response, Newsom’s office quote-tweeted:
“We’re sorry your daughter hates you, Elon,” referring to Musk’s estranged trans daughter Vivian Jenna Wilson.
Musk fired back with force:
“I assume you’re referring to my son, Xavier, who has a tragic mental illness caused by the evil woke mind virus you push on vulnerable children. I love Xavier very much and hope he recovers.”
That drew Minaj into the fray.
“Imagine being the guy running on wanting to see trans kids,” she wrote. “Haha. Not even a trans ADULT would run on that.”
Minaj Aligns with Conservatives Again
Nicki’s latest remarks continue her growing alignment with conservative voices. Last week, she stood beside U.N. Ambassador Mike Waltz at a human rights event focused on Christian persecution in Nigeria.
She also appeared to express a clear political preference on Friday, hinting at support for Vice President JD Vance:
“Y’all better look into what that man been doing behind the scenes,” she cryptically posted, referring to Vance’s recent policy victories and growing popularity.
Newsom Shrugs Off Critics—for Now
Newsom’s office has not officially responded to Minaj’s remarks, but the Democrat has been increasingly embroiled in high-profile battles with conservative influencers and political rivals. His national profile has soared amid speculation that he could step in if Joe Biden falters ahead of the 2026 campaign season.
Still, with pop culture icons like Minaj entering the fray—and blasting him in viral fashion—Newsom may find himself fighting battles far outside Sacramento.
