President Trump Orders Release of UFO and Extraterrestrial Files

President Trump announced Thursday that he will direct federal agencies to begin releasing government records related to aliens, unidentified flying objects, and unidentified aerial phenomena.

In a post on Truth Social, President Trump said he would order the disclosure of “any and all” information connected to alien and extraterrestrial life, as well as UAPs and UFOs. He stated that the move was in response to tremendous public interest surrounding the topic.

“Based on the tremendous interest shown, I will be directing the Secretary of War, and other relevant Departments and Agencies, to begin the process of identifying and releasing Government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs), and any and all other information connected to these highly complex, but extremely interesting and important, matters,” President Trump wrote.

The announcement followed recent remarks by former President Barack Obama during a YouTube interview in which he discussed the possibility of alien life. While speaking aboard Air Force One, President Trump joked that Obama may have revealed classified information during the exchange.

“I can tell you he gave classified information, he’s not supposed to be doing that,” President Trump said in response to a question about Obama’s comments. He did not affirm or deny the existence of extraterrestrials but suggested that a president has the authority to declassify information.

When asked directly whether he believes in extraterrestrial life, President Trump said he does not offer opinions on the matter and noted that many people have strong views on it. He also suggested that if any classification issues arose from Obama’s remarks, he could resolve them through declassification.

After his comments gained traction online, Obama clarified in a social media post that while the universe is vast and statistically could contain life elsewhere, he saw no evidence during his presidency that extraterrestrials had contacted Earth.

President Trump’s directive sets the stage for what could be one of the most sweeping disclosures of government information on unidentified aerial phenomena and related investigations in decades.
