President Trump Skewers ‘Stupid’ Green Energy: ‘Hurt Our Country Very Badly’

President Donald Trump tore into wind turbines and solar farms during a Tuesday cabinet meeting, blasting the green energy industry as inefficient, destructive, and a burden on American landscapes and workers.

“Wind is incredibly expensive, terrible for our scenery, and it’s killing birds everywhere,” Trump said. “The whole thing is a disaster.”

Trump mocked solar fields as well, calling them a blight on farmland and a gift to China. “They’re covering beautiful land with these massive solar grids—three miles long, three miles wide—just black plastic from China,” he said.

The president slammed the industry as dependent on subsidies and completely unreliable. “Wind and solar are intermittent. They don’t power anything unless the conditions are perfect. It’s ridiculous,” he said. “Smart countries don’t use this junk. But we had some really stupid people in charge.”

Trump also warned that green energy is handing global leverage to China, which dominates production of wind, solar, and battery components while continuing to build coal plants and pollute at record levels.

Instead, Trump touted his administration’s support for reliable American energy: coal, natural gas, and oil. “We brought back clean, beautiful coal, and we’re using our resources again,” he said. “We need energy that actually works and powers our plants—not toys that shut down when the weather changes.”

He closed with a jab at the entire renewable push: “They spent trillions of dollars on this stuff, and what did we get? Nothing but eyesores, blackouts, and dependency on China. But those days are over—we’re going back to what works.”
