British comedian Russell Brand was recently seen at a fundraiser with Robert F Kennedy Jr, leading to conjecture that Brand could potentially endorse Kennedy, a known critic of vaccines, in an anticipated bid for US presidency in 2028. The event was a Super Pac assembly, spearheaded by Kennedy last Wednesday, which saw attendance from a large number of supporters and influential figures. The gathering was reportedly aimed at bolstering the ranks of his Make America Healthy Again (Maha) followers. While an official announcement about Kennedy’s presidential aspirations wasn’t part of the discussion, whispers within the community insinuate he might be contemplating another attempt at the presidency, following his withdrawal from the 2024 race.
Notably, Kennedy was accompanied by a number of distinguished speakers during the call, with Brand, who has effectively dismissed any sexual assault and rape allegations against him, being one among them. Brand was supportive of Kennedy’s last run for the presidency. Over time, the rapport between Brand and Kennedy seems to have deepened, with the two sharing memorable moments together.
The call also featured significant figures such as Maha Pac leader Tony Lyons, vaccine researcher Robert Malone, and Stefanie Spear, a key advisor to Kennedy. Lyons’ participation in the call sparked rumors that the Pac might serve as a catalyst to propel Kennedy’s fundraising efforts, should he decide to make a run for it.
Lyons, who is known for his close bond with Steve Bannon, a former adviser to Trump, has been leading the recently founded Maha Institute since May. Lyons’ main goal with the institute is to effect changes in governmental heath policy through strategic influences.
As the meeting progressed, financial pledges were accepted although no specifics regarding the amount raised were disclosed. Stefanie Spear, who has past experience working on Kennedy’s Presidential campaign, apparently commented on some transformative amendments her superior has introduced within the department of health and human services (HHS).
Kennedy has managed to curry favor with Maha followers by successfully encouraging a number of food corporations to eliminate synthetic dyes from their merchandise. However, his decision to establish a new vaccine scrutiny board has seen backlash.
In the race post-Trump era, both JD Vance, the vice-president, and Marco Rubio, the secretary of state, are currently considered the top contenders. The notion of Trump aiming for a controversial third term has been constantly fueled, leading to some speculating that his son, Donald Jr, might be a possible alternative for the presidential run.
