‘SNL’ Alum Leslie Jones Calls for ICE Agents to Be Thrown in Jail, Demands a ‘Reckoning’

Former “Saturday Night Live” cast member Leslie Jones openly called for Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to be jailed en masse, declaring she wants a “reckoning” against those enforcing U.S. immigration law under President Donald Trump.

Jones made the remarks during an appearance on MSNBC-aligned host Nicolle Wallace’s podcast, “The Best People,” where she spent much of the conversation venting anger toward Trump and the tens of millions of Americans who voted for him.

Attacking Trump Voters, Not Just Trump

Jones framed Trump’s popularity as some sort of collective delusion, insisting his supporters only continue backing him because they refuse to admit they were wrong. She compared Trump to a snake-oil salesman, mocked his intelligence, and portrayed his presidency as something inflicted on the country by its own citizens.

At no point did Wallace push back on the rhetoric, even as Jones dismissed Trump voters as stubborn and dishonest rather than Americans exercising their right to vote.

Jones also revisited Trump’s past appearance on “Saturday Night Live,” claiming he behaved like an “insecure narcissist” and suggesting he was intimidated by her because she was “honest.” The remarks were met with no challenge from the host.

‘I Want Them in Jail’

The conversation took a darker turn when Wallace asked Jones how she imagined the Trump era ending in 2029. Jones said she hoped Democrats would retake Congress and then unleash what she repeatedly called a “reckoning.”

“That’s what I want,” Jones said. “Everybody that worked for ICE, I want them in jail. I just want a reckoning.”

She clapped her hands for emphasis as she accused federal immigration agents of knowingly doing “wrong stuff,” despite offering no specific allegations, evidence, or distinctions between lawful enforcement and misconduct.

Jones argued that mass punishment of law enforcement officers was the only way to “make it right.”

Mainstream Media Silence as Rhetoric Escalates

The comments amount to a call for collective punishment against thousands of federal agents whose job is to enforce laws passed by Congress. Had similar remarks been made about any other federal agency, or about groups favored by the left, they would likely be labeled dangerous or extremist.

Instead, the exchange passed without objection, underscoring a growing pattern in which calls for vengeance against law enforcement are normalized when they align with progressive politics.

ICE agents routinely face threats, harassment, and doxxing, yet Hollywood figures and media personalities continue to escalate the rhetoric, portraying them as villains simply for doing their jobs.

Law Enforcement as the New Enemy

Jones’ comments reflect a broader trend on the left, where immigration enforcement itself is treated as immoral, regardless of the law or public safety concerns. Rather than debate policy, activists and celebrities increasingly call for punishment, imprisonment, and retaliation.

For millions of Americans who support border security and the rule of law, the message is clear. The outrage is not about misconduct, it’s about power. And the “reckoning” Jones is demanding has nothing to do with justice.
