Tech Titans Gather at White House for Dinner Hosted by President Trump

The tranquil Rose Garden stands amidst the architecture of The White House. As of the 2nd of September, 2025, it has become the focal point in Washington. The incumbent, President Donald Trump, announced that it will serve as the venue for an upcoming dinner. The dining event slated for Thursday evening is expected to host some of the most influential tech leaders.

The official statement from the White House revealed a star-studded guest list for the event. It will feature the Who’s Who of the technology realm, including the co-founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates, the reigning CEO of Apple, Tim Cook, and Mark Zuckerberg, the man at the helm of Meta. A total of a dozen top-tier executives from various artificial intelligence and tech giants have also been invited.

A glaring omission from the extensive guest list is that of Elon Musk. Musk, who was formerly an integral part of Trump’s close-knit circle, was tasked by the Republican President with overseeing the operation of the Department of Government Efficiency. However, a rift, publicly visible, between Musk and Trump occurred earlier this year.

The Rose Garden, traditionally known for its lush green patches, all set for a change. Trump, in a recent measure, replaced the verdant landscape with paved floors, adding tables and chairs under umbrellas to set the scene for the dinner.

The grandeur of the dinner is to be preluded by a gathering of the newly established Artificial Intelligence Education task force. The task force’s chairperson, First Lady Melania Trump, will convene the session.

In a statement, Melania Trump emphasized the need for a measured approach to AI, equating its care with parenting. Her words read, “In this initial phase, we ought to guide AI just like we mentor our children — nurturing yet vigilant.”

She went on to express the novelty of the current epoch and highlighted our duty towards America’s younger generation. As per her, “We are witnessing an era of marvel, and it falls upon us to equip our children accordingly.”

The President’s exclusive Thursday dinner will likely see some of the attendees take part in the task force assembly as well. The meeting’s goal is to work towards creating education frameworks for American youth around Artificial Intelligence.

The confirmation from the White House reveals that dinner attendees would include tech luminaries such as Sergey Brin, the founding figure of Google, and the current CEO, Sundar Pichai. Other tech moguls like Satya Nadella, Microsoft’s CEO, and Safra Catz, Oracle’s CEO, will also be in attendance.

Noteworthy guests are comprised of several other individuals such as Sam Altman and Greg Brockman of OpenAI, Blue Origin CEO David Limp, the head of Micron, Sanjay Mehrotra, and Vivek Ranadive, the chairman of TIBCO Software.

The invitees’ list additionally includes Shyam Sankar, a prominent executive from Palantir, Alexandr Wang, the founder and CEO of Scale AI, and Jared Isaacman, the current CEO of Shift4 Payments.

It’s also worth mentioning that Isaacman was linked to Elon Musk as an associate, and was proposed by Trump for heading NASA. However, his nomination was withdrawn in the middle of Trump’s falling out with Musk.

According to President Trump, the withdrawal of Isaacman’s nomination was one of the catalysts that made Musk part ways with him. Trump referred to Isaacman as a staunch supporter of the Democratic Party, implying a degree of political motivation behind their discord.
